You can't go wrong with Idris and the movie was different but in a good way. Story line kept me watching

I didn’t know anything about this movie. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie and would definitely recommend it.

I know it did not do well at the Box Office but we found it entertaining and even though that means there will be no second movie I would kind of like to see another one.Good visuals and sound.I will be happy when the 4K disc prices finally come down to a reasonable level.This and all of the other 4K's are way overpriced until you catch them on sale[which I did for this].

Good version of the Stephen King series of books. Enjoyed the movie and hope they continue this series.

An enjoyable movie with very little thinking required. Idris Elba is a fantastic actor and I love almost everything he does, but this is slower paced and very predictable and not a script that used his talents as well as they could have. Matthew McConaughey is menacingly evil but without any back-story, he is evil for evil’s sake. Kills without purpose and with amazing ease, almost too simple and transparent as the villain and minions were there just to be killed (but really when aren’t they). The child actor was okay, but unfortunately forgettable. On the plus side, this was visually and cinematically very well done, the closing fight scene was spectacular! The choreography was so well done I actually wanted to watch the extra features on this disc to see how they were done. Overall, if you don’t expect too much, you will not be disappointed, it was still very entertaining just not great.

The 4k version is the same as the Blu Ray. I could not tell the difference in picture quality nor sound. got the 4k version for the ATMOS soundtrack but to no avail. At best it came through as 5.1 surround.

not the greatest movie! I wasn't gonna pay $34.99 for it. waited til they lowered the price to $17.99.

I read the book and was excited to see a new fantasy series with a bit of gun slinging fun. The movie wasn't bad, but it wasn't epic. I think they could make a good series out of it, but I'd like to see more …

This movie was quite different as far as the plot goes but was very intuitive and had great visual

The quality of the disc and the picture of the movie are excellent given the UHD disc. The movie doesn't live up to the heights of the books, but buying the disc might encourage them to give it another try.

The theme and action makes this an excellent movie for all adventure movie lovers to watch.

This is a great movie. Both of the lead actors are PERFECT in it. You will enjoy this movie!

It pains me to see a property of Stephen Kings executed so poorly. There's so much in the premise of the story to like and so much detail from the novels to draw from. However, the production design, visual effects, cinematography, action choreography, and screenplay did not cohere in any way that was satisfying. What's truly disappointing here is that we likely will not get a sequel in the Dark Tower universe for quite a long time since this film apparently underperformed. If you are a fan of the novels, I would recommend renting it, but owning it now leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Great film and enjoyed seeing how the rest of Stephen Kings books tie together as well.

Some people didn’t like this but I thought it was interesting to watch..great audio and video...

This is a good one to add to the 4K collection. There are some nice looking scenes in this movie!

I usually have a very hard time watching a movie that is based on a novel. I tend to forget my promise not to compare the two. It's been a while since I read King's Dark Tower series, which may have allowed me to enjoy the movie without commenting "that's not the way that happened" every ten minutes. Lots of action, lots of weirdness (this is Stephen King's world after all). Matthew McConaughey as a villain was a bit difficult to wrap my brain around. His portrayal of Walter was scary. Idris Elba was not how I'd imagined Roland as I read the books, but he did a superb job. I'm hoping there will be a sequel.

Must see thriller!!! Plent of action with this one!!! The 4k quality will not disappoint you!!!
