The original of 'The Day The Earth Stood Still' is an amazing masterpiece and I can see why people are quick to judge with this remake of the classic. I watched this with open arms and an open mind and really really enjoyed it. I think Keanu Reeves is the perfect actor for the part he took in this film. He always seemed mysterious, weird, and most importantly, alien. If you enjoyed the original, please watch this without the intention of critiquing it for its bad aspects and you WILL have a great time enjoying the remake!

For a re-make of a classic, there's enough changes and twists in how the story is told and the outcome to enjoy this film on its own merits. I had not seen it in the theatre so glad I purchased this; will definitely watch again.

Most people hated this movie. It's different than the original. Interesting. Sort of reminds me of The Arrival movie. Just a bit.

Cool movie and as this plot is concerned, how far removed are we now, from it ? FX is Cool and exciting, a non stop thrilling Sci-fi not boring but you won't be bored . ....

This movie makes you wonder about a different possibly of what could happen if we don't take care our planet. I loved it. How many chances do we really have?

I enjoyed it from beginning to end, There was plenty of action and a good plot that keeps you watching.

I wasnt sure a remake on this movie would be any good but I was happy to see it is a very good remake on the original sure it made some story changes but still mostly the same
