This movie is a classic starring Michael Renny and the robot Gort.

One of the first and arguably one of the best of modern-day sophisticated science-fiction. It was so REAL compared to previous so-called-adult science-fiction movies. Great story, great stars, great premise and a thought provoking finale. This is the pre-cursor of a genre that finally 'grew up'! This is a MUST HAVE video that belongs in everybody's film library!

This is one of my favorite classic sci-fi movies of all time! The DVD copy of this movie is excellent! This remastered DVD version makes the picture and audio much better than the original version I saw in the movies. A must have for Sci-Fi movie fans!

If you love Sci-fi and you have not seen this movie, YOU MUST! It is a classic with such a wonderful cast. This is a movie that when you sit down to watch it, over and over, it always is worth watching. The remake is ok, but this is so MUCH better. You see how the world was back then and how when a UFO shows up how the world reacted back then.

What can I say. It’s a classic. Considered one of the best science fiction movies ever made. Also shows what Washington, D.C. looked like in the ‘50s. Klaatu, barada, nicto says it all

This classic sci-fi drama is still applicable even after more than 70 years. Mankind continues to create weapons & wars to destroy each other.

Allows for 4K and HDR pass through for any devices connected. Ample hdmi ports and output hdmi is ARC (audio return channel). This allows for the sound from a device connected directly to the TV to be passed back to the soundbar. Best thing was it was on sale - big time.

Another classic Sci-fi film. Black and white from 1951. Directed by Robert Wise, the same guy who brought us The Sound of Music. This is a great restoration. I love it.

In addition to the classic film, this release contains multiple commentaries, documentaries, galleries, and interactive games, including some neat stuff on the theremin, which plays an important part in the film's score.

Realistic believable plot well acted and portrayed. Makes you think about how small we really are with respect to the universe. Post atomic bomb realism

I ordered this movie for my brother. Someone had taken it from our house without his knowledge. We needed this replacement because we love looking at this original movie. Glad Best Buy carried it! It's great Sci-Fi entertainment.

This movie was released at a time when the US was still dealing with the Korean War and most SF films featured alien invasions, not messages of peace. I believe this is what has made this film timeless.

You don't have to love Sci-Fi to love this film. This is Sci- Fi cinema at it's most superior form and shape. This is the only version of 'The Day The Earth Stood Still' that deserves to be talk about.

this movie was really good. I just wish they would make it in color and surround sound.
