Excellent picture quality and two movies for the price of one.

Suspense filled drama. Tragedy that will leave you in tears.

THIS MOVIE IS ALRIGHT IT STARTS OFF PRETTY GOOD BUT I WASIN'T FEELING THE ENDING AND WILL SMITH'S SON JAYDEN IS COMPLEATLY ANNOYING

I liked the movie mostly for the special effects. The new plot twist was not bad but I still liked the old plot better. Keanu Reeves acting was somewhat flat but I think that's the way he chose to portray an alien. Somehow in the remake they lost what made the original a classic.

I saw the original years ago which was quite good. For the remake I doubted its quality, but after watching it twice I found it not an update of the original but a superior effort in special effects. The story line changed slightly to keep up with the times, but overall I thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend it to others.

i really enjoyed this movie. i am a huge fan of the original and i think the modern twist added was refreshing. would have liked to see more of gort but i truly enjoed this movie.

The original movie is my favorite Sci-Fi movie ever (Star Wars is its own category). It is great to see the original on Blu-Ray. Also, I did like the remake a lot. I went in thinking I would hate the remake, but it was actually done great. This double set is a great addition to any Sci-Fi fans collection!

So great to see some of the original ideas come to life they were not able to do back in '51. Nice bonus that the original version comes with it. A must have for any sci-fi fan especially to experience it on blu-ray. =)

The 2008 version looks and sounds great. It's a perfect addition to your Blu-Ray Collection! What's even better is the original version is included!

this movie in Bluray rocks. great visuals and special effects. don't get it for Keanu Reeves though. not his best work.

When I heard that Hollywood was going to do a remake of the 1951 Classic, The Day the Earth Stood Still, I was thrilled. 50 plus years have passed and the technology that Hollywood has now is so advanced. I thought that with current Special Effects and CGI that this is going to be a Blockbuster movie. Instead Keanu Reeves probably got paid 20 million dollars and Hollywood turned out a dud. This could have been a Blockbuster if Hollywood would have been more creative. It's worth watching once, that's it. But if you want this DVD for you collection, wait. It won't be long before this DVD is in the Bargain basement DVD bin at a store near you.

This is a great movie and what a great purchase of the Blu-ray that comes with the original movie from the 50s

Great action, pretty good storyline. Love the digital copy for my iPod!
