Remake of Hollywood Classic
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.When I heard that Hollywood was going to do a remake of the 1951 Classic, The Day the Earth Stood Still, I was thrilled. 50 plus years have passed and the technology that Hollywood has now is so advanced. I thought that with current Special Effects and CGI that this is going to be a Blockbuster movie. Instead Keanu Reeves probably got paid 20 million dollars and Hollywood turned out a dud. This could have been a Blockbuster if Hollywood would have been more creative. It's worth watching once, that's it. But if you want this DVD for you collection, wait. It won't be long before this DVD is in the Bargain basement DVD bin at a store near you.
