The previous time this story was told, Superman: Doomsday, was really terrible, and thankfully this one allowed the story to develop and breathe, even if we haven't gotten as much time with New 52 Superman as we have Batman. While there are some minor annoyances, this is about as good an adaptation of the classic story as you can ask for.

Not to say Superman Doomsday wasn't good but it was better looked at a totally new story than any attempt to adapt the original source material. This moive however is outstanding and one of the best recent additions to the DC Animated Movie collection.

I got this on sale for less than $10 because I really like Superman. They made a good movie here, but I think it's ridiculous that they split this into two films. Both films are less than 90 min making the combined story less than 2 hr 50 min, which by today's standards is acceptable. Splitting these up seems like a cash-grab.

One of my favorite DC animation. This is a better telling than the first death of superman.

Yes, it is animated, but this is a great movie that has allowed me to follow my super heroes from the beginning as well as finding out some things about the characters I did not know. This is an easily followed animation for kids and adults.

Being that this is the 3rd time they have depicted the death of Superman on screen, I was not really looking forward to this DCAU film. However, this has easily become my favorite rendition! Well worth checking out.

Looked more faithful to "Death of Superman" comic than first attempt to adapt same comic with enjoyable but horribly flawed adaption that didn't look like comic story-line hardly at all, called "SUPERMAN: DOOMSDAY."

This is the second time that D.C. has made a cartoon about this story line. This one was different than the first, so it is definitely worth watching and buying. I am so excited to see the follow up to this movie.

The Death of Superman has been my favorite cartoon since it came out in 2018. I rented it from Redbox then, but I hadn't had a chance to buy it until recently. Despite the time that has passed since I last saw it, I'm still in love with this. The case and the disc came in great condition--not a scratch. For those curious about content, there is quite a bit of blood and gore as Doomsday goes on his rampage across the country. There's only a few scenes, but they are pretty notable. Other than that, it's just fire and destruction as Doomsday destroys small cities and beats several Justice League members within an inch of their lives. There is also some passionate cleaning between Clark and Lois in one scene. Other than that, their relationship problems that stem from Clark hiding that he's superman work as a fantastic subplot that intertwines with Doomsday's subplot. There's also a scene where Lex Luthor looks at some nasty clone prototypes. It could disturb more sensitive audiences. The last act of the movie is Superman's battle with Doomsday, where he also gets beaten thoroughly. When he dies, as the movie indicates, it is a bit bloody, but it's honestly moreso really sad. You absolutely will cry--even if it's just a little bit. As I said before, it's a phenomenal movie both in the entertainment arena and in the storytelling arena. Despite all the blood, gore, death, and sorrow, a positive theme still emerges at the end: always do the right thing, even if your life is at stake for doing it. For those who read this, I hope this helps you decide whether or not this is a movie you want to buy. If you do buy it, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Cheers!

This title thinks he's dead, but think again! This is by far the toughest Doomsday to this day but, he's no match for the man of steel!! Superman is the greatest superhero ever! This movie is pretty bad@$$!!

There was a previous Death of Superman released a few years ago and it was not so good. This time they did it right! This is non-stop entertainment. The graphic novel was a great touch to include!

A must have for all fans!You will not regret this purchase.

Being a fan of the comic story for years, I'm pleasantly surprised to see it finally given the adaptation it deserves. Nothing like seeing the Man of Steel take on one of his deadliest foes.

The movie is much better than its predesscor almost eleven years prior. The animation, story, and characters are wonderful. The included mini hardcover comic a welcomed and great additon at a great price. If you like Superman then get this movie.

I loved this comic series decades ago. I think that this is a great adaptation of that, though this is abbreviated since the original series went on for a ton of issues.

don't know if I liked it more than the superman doomsday movie from years ago. this one had somethings I like better, then somethings I was like why did they do that. overall very good movie and would recommend to others

The Death Of Superman is one of my favorite Superman Animated Movies that I love the most and it’s also based on the #1 best selling graphic novel of all time.
