I am willing to skip over a few OBVIOUS challenges to the actors to make this thing work to say the story rules! I mean my family really enjoyed the story and thought hard and long about what it means to us as a unit.

"The Descendents" is a highly original movie. The plot is full of surprises. Several layers of story provide a complex narrative that offers laughs in surprising places. Clooney is stellar, and the supporting cast is diverse, at times outrageous, but very human and believable.

Great Movie. Great Price. Paid for with points. One drawback. The movie cost $4.99. My certificate was for $5.00. I had to buy another item to move the price above $5.00 to get credit for the certificate. So, I bought a candy bar that I did not need.

The cast is fantastic and it really is an interesting twist on the family dynamic. Dealing with the subject matter it actually does a great job bringing the family together in hard times.

This movie was a total blind buy. The only reason I bought it was because of Shailene Woodley (Divergent). She's an amazing young actor and has done great choosing roles early in her career. Descendants is a very touching story with strong actors.

This was a realistic movie, as the opening lines indicate that it would be. There was a redemptive element to it at the end. The music was fantastic. But it was a sad movie all the way through.

We watched this movie based on movie trailers and it was worth every penny. Our family enjoyed the relationships that were explored. The beautiful scenery of Hawaii is a great bonus.

The filming in Hawaii was beautiful. George Clooney is a very diverse actor funny then sad. Made you feel you were making these difficult decisions not him. I will watch again.

I enjoyed watching the movie. It was funny and kind of heart wrenching at the same time. It will tug on your heart strings watching the father connect with his daughters and deal with the imminent death of his wife.

The Descendants is a beautifully well written story about family, love and culture. You are introduced to the beautiful island of Hawaii through spectacular cinematography as well as the their music. I highly recommend!!!

This movie is a deep character drama that somehow also manages to be light. It's beauty is highlighted by the fabulous acting, and the authentic Hawaiian setting.

We looked all over to find this DVD, and were very pleased to find it on sale at Best Buy. It deserved all of the awards for which it was nominated.

Personally, this one stands out as one of Clooney's greatest performances. Full of humor, heartache and love, this is one to see if you haven't.

My family and I love this movie it's one of our favorites!! The scenic views of Hawaii are so beautiful! The movie has a lot of Hawaiian classic music which we love. The storyline is good would highly recommend.

The movie, The Descendants, was heartfelt, real life, interesting historically (I learned about Hawaiin history). Well acted by both the young and old actors. A perfect family movie with humor and emotion.

A touching and heartwarming story that reflects an awful situation mixed with some of the perils of married life. Great cast and top notch acting.

Finally have it on blu-ray, One of my favorite George Clooney movies, family drama. Highly recomended for older children and adults. Great scenes and sound tracks. Do recomend
