    This was the film that started my appreciation of Del Toro as a director. A thoughtful handling of a ghost story without the usual overdone shock scenes

    Guillermo Del Torro is absolutely brilliant. His films are works of art and smart. You get pulled in and they never disappoint. I loved this film when I first watched it and knew at that time that this man was a genius and would continue to deliver high quality and intriging movies. If you haven't yet watched this movie I highly recommend u do. It's in Spanish but has English subtitles so u can follow along and won't get lost. It's creepy and scary is such a fantastic way and well worth a watch or 2.

    Great film, really satisfying. If you're a fan of Guillermo Del Toro, I would recommend it. The transfer also looks great!

    **** / **** If Guillermo Del Toro continues to craft such powerful and compelling films as this gem and Pan's Labyrinth he will be worshiped by many if not all. The only thing I would like to mention is that this is not a horror film which it is advertised to be. But don't let that deter you from watching it.This is a must see. Also recommended Pan's Labyrinth.
