Franco Brothers Succeed in Making a Bomb

"The Room" is one of the great BAD movies ever made, right up there (or down there, depending on your view) alongside "Plan 9 from Outer Space." Like Tim Burton's "Ed Wood," which spent a lot of money recreating the making of low low budget "Plan 9," "The Disaster Artist" loads up A-list talent to show us how ambitious schlock auteur Tommy Wiseau produced his opus. James Franco gives a terrific impression of the real Wiseau, complete with stringy hair and an indecipherable European accent, while younger brother Dave plays Wiseau's best friend and muse Greg Sestero. Seth Rogan, Zac Ephron, and Alison Brie offer capable comedic support. An inspired and oddly affectionate look at lovable losers on the outside looking in.

This movie was base off the book, and also how the room was made in 2003. this film not only surprised me out of the park, all the actor as well as their performances did an awesome job telling this true story. as i walked out of the theater seeing this last year this was not only one of my favorite films of 2017, this film has become one the greatest films of my all time. i highly recommend this film, to those who love the events on this true story with burst out loud laughing comedy, this is 100% worth your time to check out.

This film is based on the book of the same name which chronicles the making of The Room. The movie is very funny and enjoyable. The only thing I wish is that they would have focused more on Greg Sestero since it is his point of view and experience that we follow in the book. The film mostly ignores Greg Sestero's experience in trying to make it as an actor in Hollywood and focuses solely on Tommy Wiseau, which I am sure has to do with James Franco's direction. Overall, this was a really good film.

The Disaster Artist” is also an ode to friendship, and Franco enlists his little brother Dave to play Greg Sestero, who partnered with Wiseau to make “The Room.” It’s an inspired on-screen pairing, the first time the siblings have worked together since a series of “Funny or Die” acting-instruction videos nearly a decade ago. (They’re a great prequel to “The Disaster Artist,” with Dave playing straight guy to his artsy brother’s faux-pretension.)

First, if you haven't seen "The Room", stop what you're doing right now and try to watch it. It's considered to be the best bad movie ever made. This movie is based on the book written about the making of said movie. Great casting, funny, weird. Just overall a great movie you NEED to see! But, like I said, please DO NOT watch it without seeing the Room first!

Do don't have to be a fan, or having seen THE ROOM to enjoy this film. It tells the story of wants, goals, and the journey that would be the most famous BAD movie ever made. I recommend reading the book this film is based on. The book goes into more details about what happened behind the scenes, but I think if those certain parts were in this film...it would be much darker.

If you love The Room, read The Disaster Artist, or enjoyed stories about interesting movie directors such as Ed Wood, watch this! James Franco simply nails his portrayal of Tommy Wiseau, and the movie is faithful to the book and the movie The Room. This will be watched numerous times! :)

This movie was a testament to desire and determination it takes to actually make a film no matter how good or bad it may be conceived. James Franco and his brother Dave knock their performances out of the park portraying Tommy Wiseau and his friend Mark on their adventure to make their own personal film. It's heartwarming, funning, and filled with great performances fromthe entire cast. The picture quality is also top notch! Recommended

The Disaster Artist is a great movie and goes perfect with The Room (sold separately) I suggest both of them highly. The Room is so bad it’s good and the Disaster Artist is some of James Franco’s best work.
