I am a fan of the cult film "The Room", in which "The Disaster Artist" is based on. You will laugh and cry with James Franco's take on Tommy Wiseau and the different re-enactments of "The Room".

Great movie! If you love THE ROOM, you must buy and watch this movie. It is a truly a loving dedication to THE ROOM and is a true delight to watch. I had a lot of fun in the theater watching it.

You don't have to see The Room to appreciate The Disaster Artist, but you may want to afterwards. This was one of the best films of 2017 and just all around hilarious. Buy with confidence.

It's not a perfect film, but it's worth it for James Franco's performance. He's the only actor who could play Tommy. Love that it has the commentary on the special features too!

A great re-creation of not just a quirky movie, but also a quirky man. Franco played the part to a tee and even seeing Seth Rogan's mug again didn't dampen this movie.

If you're expecting John Wick but with a female, keep waiting. Don't pick this up. This movie is a spy mystery thriller first, an action spectacle second. The action sequences make it worth the money for me, but the story is just convoluted and the last half hour can be summarized with this. "Oh I got you!" "Oh no, I got YOU!" "Oh but I knew you thought you'd get me, but I actually got YOU!" (this is obviously inspired by cr1tikal's review of the movie on youtube and he's so right. the story tries way too hard to be something that this movie isn't supposed to be.)

Being familiar with The Room would be helpful but it's far from essential. This is hysterical regardless. Don't miss it.

For a movie that was a documentary/remake of one of the worst movies ever made I would argue that this is James Franco’s best performance,it’s got a bit of everything you want from a movie comedy and heart

James Franco directs and stars and just gets lost in this role and it is great. Comedy and drama are balanced and Dave Franco's best performance!
