Enjoyed this music years ago when I first bought it I believe in the album format, so I decided to buy it again in the remastered CD. The music is very thoughtful, a well crafted journey of musical textures. This CD is also the foundation to their latest endeavor "Endless River".

Great cd. I'm a long time listener. This cd is commemorated at the Orlando Hard Rock Café. It doesn't get much better than that.

I think this album is a little overlooked with the great albums they have put out. So, if you don't have it yet, get it!!

The merits for Pink Floyd minus Roger Waters can/will be debated endlessly. This album doesn't reach the heights of the band's heyday but it still gets the job done for me.

One of the better 3-man Floyd CDs

Up until this year, this was the final Pink Floyd album, and it was the last one completed during Richard's life. It is the best of the 3-man Floyd albums. Unlike a couple of the others, the three were all actively involved in the album. Although all of the Floyd albums under David's leadership were dominated by him, Richard co-wrote almost half the songs (his first writing since Shine On#, and even sings lead on one song #for the first time since Dark Side#. He and Nick are also fully on board the performing. The album has nine songs plus two instrumentals. Some of the songs deal with estrangement from friends. Although they were sung by and probably written for David, the estrangement from Roger applied to all 3 of them. I very much related to one of those songs, "Lost for Words", which deals with the futility of trying to reach out to an enemy. The musical style of the album is lite rock. It does not have the musical diversity of other albums, but the music is all good. The lyrics are all good, albeit not up to the standards of Syd and Roger. Physicist Stephen Hawking narrates one of the songs. On the whole it really is a good album. It's only when compared to 4-man Pink Floyd albums that it pales. #There is a special edition with the music on Blu-Ray or DVD, some videos and some trinkets, but no new music.#
