You'll probably get more out of The Editor if you're familiar with the giallo genre. What is giallo? Well, I'd describe it as an Italian slasher whodunit, a blood-soaked mystery involving a killer who usually is wearing a trench coat and black gloves (but not always). A lot of these were made in the '70s and '80s and usually were badly dubbed into English. The best giallos are very stylish, from the camera work to the lighting, and even the music.
The Editor excels in all these areas. I know there are diehard giallo fans who think this film is too artificial, but personally I think The Editor respectfully pays homage while also stamping its own aesthetic. The film is darkly humorous, kinda sleazy and quite brutal, so be warned.
I would recommend this to a friend

This one pays good homage to the old Italian horror films. If your a fan of those you will like this.
