So I started playing with some guy killing me sending me to some prison, talked to a wizard, gathered what I wanted to fight with, fought a couple skellies, talked to a beautiful girl who tells me im dead and shes not, that I was sent to this realm by the dude I saw in the beginning. at this point im mad I wanna kill the dude. then it goes to a dumb quest, u see other players jumping and killing blue flaming atronarchs or however u spell it after that im already bored so I quit. I wish it was more like skyrim. spent over 400 hours on it. this I got bored and wasted my money cuz I cant refund. grrrr

Okay, so there's a lot to be said about this game. First of all, it's one of the most anticipated games of the year, generating Zenemax Studios millions in pre-orders a lone, not including initial release. With the release of the game coming up in 2 weeks, I thought I would bring to light what you may be getting into.
First of all, let me tell you a bit about me, and what kind of rig I'm running the game on. I played all the demos, from the closed, to the open, to the invite a week one, and the one imperial one that came out 2 weeks ago. I've seen improvements since the initial release of the beta, but they seemed to have ignored the small details which makes an MMO... an MMO.
First of all, if you're a fan of the elder scrolls series, then by all means, pick it up, just be prepared for some minor disappointments. If this is your first time getting into the Elder Scrolls saga, the minor things may not be as disappointing to you.
First of all, I'm sure all of you are wondering just how this game will run...
My Rig:
Mother Board: Gigabyte G1 SNIPER 5
CPU: I7 4770K @ 4.3ghz
Memory: 16 Gigs of Corsair Dominator Platinum
Graphics: Nividia GTX 770 4gb SLI running 29" Duel link DVI display
Power: KingWin Laser 1000watt Power Supply
Storage: Samung 840 EVO 500gb SSD, 3 tb platter drive.
Value: $4,200.00
CPU Usage during play, (maxed out, set to 1920x1080p, AA on) - 59% Memory Usage: 30%
Graphics Usage: Load: 100% Memory: 2gb used out of 4 maximum
Average Frame Rate: (120 Minutes, 1920x1080p, full graphics) Highest Frame Rate: 119FPS; Lowest: 34FPS.
The game is quite demanding, as one can see from the scores. Just to play the game at a decent setting requires some serious hardware, and driver updates. (I think Nividia released a driver for every beta that came out) so do keep this in mind. On top of that, the frame spikes are not at all stable. In some area, I would get 119 frames per second, in others, it would drop to the mid 30's, depending on what I was doing.
Game Play: For one, there is no controller support for this game if you're getting it on the PC version. (I've tried, no-go.) Which is rather ironic considering that the game is being released for both the XBOX and Playstation consoles.
Load Times.... let me just say this again, I hope you have A LOT of time on your hands. The game will play just fine when you have a region loaded... but when you leave a region and enter a new one... you might as well leave the room and fix yourself a sandwich, because even with a solid state drive, it took at least five minutes for the new region to load during the beta. Now do bare in mind that all these experiences are based on the beta release of the game.
What are the cons? - Well, if you have a well-built and powerful machine, I can honestly say that you will have a great time playing this game. I can't say what it would be like for those who don't have an equivalent machine as I do, but even with the machine I have, I still ended up waiting forever in load times. Don't get me wrong, the game is very fun to play, especially with a friend. However, it does have a few things that most common MMOs NEED to have.
No Quest Icons for NPCS - You know those little marks that say "hey you, yeah.... you! - I have a quest for you, talk to me." - they're absent from this game. Which means, you can literally spend a few minutes of your time talking to every npc in a settlement such as a town or city, and get no where in your quest grinding. This will make leveling a new character a pain in the butt.
Lack of Game Pad Support - (if purchasing for the PC) it will lack game-pad controller support, you will be playing this game by keyboard and mouse only.
Requires a Subscription Fee - the subscription fee is set for 14.99 for players in the United States. Playstation 4 users will not be required to pay a fee due to the fee being covered in their yearly online subscription.
My Thoughts:
I'll admit it, I've been playing World of Warcraft for a long time, so I'm kind of used to the "Simple" things, such as quest markers that tell you if the npc that's standing right in front of you has a quest available to you or not. But I'm also a big fan of the Elder Scrolls Series, so when this game was announced, I immediately began to watch it's development and was invited to attend the closed beta as well as the open betas.
My experience, though variable through many different hardware changes, was interesting. It would seem that every time they opened the game up for beta, there were vast performance improvements, but they seemed to always ignore the simple things. One such thing was the lack of NPC markers that tell you they have a quest ready for you. But for some people, maybe this is what they want. Something to separate the game from the normal mangle of mmo's out there. Perhaps this is what the MMO genre needed for a long time, to make each and every character you level a challenge that takes time, consumes energy, and maybe makes it more fun.
Performance wise, on my machine -that is; I found the game to be stable, while frame rates fluctuated and changed often, were still playable and the graphics still enjoyable. The audio of the game, especially the musical score that will play in the background is relaxing and pleasant to listen to, not that midi-music you usually get with other MMO's (WoW)
Though the game is resource heavy and does require quite some power to play, I'm sure other players will be able to enjoy the game as well on lower settings. Just have some patience with the load times and you should be good.
On a further note.... a SSD is highly recommended. This game will take up about 30 gigabytes of disk space (20-26 gigabytes according to the last beta test)
Looking forward to seeing you in the game.
Scores:
Graphics: 9/10
Game Play: 8/10
Audio: 9/10
Performance: 7/10
Load Times: 4/10
Release Date: 4/4/2014
Though the load times are long, I will still recommend this game to all my friends.

Buyer Beware: Doesn't work with Broadband Internet

Don't get this game if you have Broadband Internet
This game will not work with a US Cellular Broadband internet connect. After working with the customer support department of ESO, it was determined that you have to have a "static" internet connection which is not listed as a requirement on the box. Due to the nature of the broadband internet connections, they all have rotating IP addresses. This causes the game to log you out every time the IP address rotates. For example, it might take you 5-20 times to log into the game, and every time you go through a door way or into another instance it disconnects you from the game. The game was total waste of money for me, and the only way I can use it is to go to a friends house and set up my computer. Aggravating to say the least. I have played WOW, RIFT, and TERA with no issues. If you can get the game to work, it can be fun. But beware if you have broadband internet, it is going to give you all kinds of trouble.

I really enjoy playing this game. As far as an MMORPG launch is concerned it is one of the smoothest I have ever seen in terms of actually being able to play and enjoy the game.
I have had to contact Customer Service as my game kept crashing due to a bug when using Crossfire or SLI setups are concerned; in which was very poor (why it's only rated a 4) Not only did it take them one full week to get me a response. The response was very uneducated, and needed to be transferred to a different department. I find it sad that user forums know more than their support team.
My game continually crashed upon loading into a specific character. Not all characters, only the one. So I sent the CS department a crash report along with DxDiag so they could know what I am working with. I was asked to please turn down the graphics quality. After one week of waiting this is the response I received and even with sending a DxDiag.
My system specs are
ASUS ROG Formula AM3+ Mobo
AMD 8350 Liquid cooled @ 4.5ghz
64gb Corsair Vengence Pro Series 2400
4TB Samsung 840 SSD's
4x Sapphire 7970 6gb GHz Editions (24gb dedicated video 4GPU's)
3x 24"Asus 2560x1440 Displays (Game crashes in both Eyefinity and not)
100mbs Broadband Connection
Windows 7 Pro
AMD CCC both latest 13.12 and 14.3 beta drivers were tried.
As you can see there is no reason my PC cannot run this game at Max Settings. However, according to the first initial contact he recommends I turn down the graphics quality. On user forums I have found that although this game is Crossfire/SLI supported. AMD 6xxx/7xxx cards and nVidia 600/700 series cards have an issue that is currently being addressed. I assume this is what the person that my last argument of "are you joking me" will tell me in one more week when I get their response. Which is if it does take 1 week 14 days of my included game time will already have been expired.
I do recommend this product for anyone looking to play something worth playing. I do not know if I would recommend right now due to the lack of service if any problems arise. Once Zenimax gets this figured out it I believe it will be worth the subscription and the initial game charge.

Adventuring solo and with friends are both fun and challenging. In game graphics sets the standard. Game is designed for PVE and PVP play. The game world is so vast and diverse. Warning: very addicting even with the subscription fee.

the pvp is no good, the end game is no good, guilds are a joke, you spend more time doing inventory than playing the game. Most items in the game are very overpriced. This game was a flop. Subscription is way to much for what you get. Players can join many guilds and all guilds are is a way to sell your loot. No good!

ESO's Weaknesses
Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
When I first played this, I was addicted. The storyline, the pvp, and the pve were all first class. However, as I played more, I found major weaknesses. These weaknesses can be found mostly in the in-game "economy." There are no public auction halls or such, leaving only three options to make gold from your loot: sell to NPC's, advertise them via zone chat, or sell them in guild stores (which are restricted to guild members and there's no bidding). This makes raising gold a long and difficult task regardless of player level. As stated, ESO puts a great emphasis on guilds but there are weaknesses in these to. The biggest is that guild masters can not be usurped. I myself am in a guild that's falling apart because our master hasn't logged on since ESO first came out and certain guild settings are stuck. This makes forming guild banks and stores very difficult for anyone as well as keeping the guild itself together an unnecessarily difficult task. There are also two noticeable flaws in the crafting system. In ESO, you can make foods and drinks to augment your stats from recipes you learn. However, you only know what recipes you've learned if you are cooking at a cooking fire. I had to run back and forth between the guild store and the kitchen to see what recipes I needed to buy. Secondly, there is a similar problem with item traits. In ESO, items can have special traits that you can research and apply to items you make. However, there is a small problem if you are trying to research and deconstruct; you can deconstruct (destroy) items to gain xp for crafting skills. I myself had be careful and continuously check to make sure that the items I was deconstructing did not have a trait I needed to research. There was nothing simple like TRAIT RESEARCHED in the item description. Still, there is a chance that these issues will be addressed in future patches if enough people report them to ZeniMax. The one thing I admire the most about ESO is that they are always read all feedback. I have not report one problem via mail that was not promptly responded to by a human. I hope all gamers who read this will help ensure that these issues are addressed so ESO can reach its potential of being the greatest online game.

In the interest of full disclosure I should point out that I am no longer able to Log in to ESO.
If your looking for, a Skyrim sequel, an elder scrolls multiplayer, a better feel than SWTOR, this unfortunately isnt it.
It all started like any other MMO, lots of down time, bugs, and many many patches. Problem is that it did not get better and its growing pains only seemed to worsen. Patches to fix one problem would just cause more issues. The guild banks had to be taken down, long log in times became login time out errors. New content and TV ads cant seem to fix the flow of retreating customers.
