Thought the 1080p Blu-ray disc did a nice job but the 4K version takes visual details to the next level, especially since much of the movie takes place at night. Enjoyed the ‘80s TV series as a kid, but filmmakers were wise to amp up the intensity. Excited to see the sequel!

This is an excellent beginning to a very interesting franchise. Denzel is excellent in his role as an honest working man who dislikes the easy way out. When he sees injustice happening, it bothers him and he wants to make things right. He has an intensity to him that builds to a lovely crescendo throughout the movie.

Great movie. An older or more matured Denzel but great acting; like wine .. tastes better with age... loved the action .. the fights (had to replay those a few times to get every detail ) ... message/story is good - motivating/encouraging others "you can be whoever you want to be ". Will watch again and again ...

Saw a Preview in the theatre a month ago of the Equalizer 2, which I thought was pretty good and action packed. Saw this movie on the rack, went and got, and yes, I am definitely going to see the Equalizer 2 and absolutely buy the Movie when it comes out on dvd as well!

As a young man, I enjoyed The Equalizer television series. This theatrical interpretation of it is awesome. Denzel Washington gives an admirable performance as Robert McCall. The storyline and action sequences are well done. I give it two thumbs up and a 5-Star rating.

Although I had heard great things about this film, I hadn't gotten around to seeing till now. Thanks to Best Buy's excellent price, I finally watched this film and I must say I was impressed! An excellent action film with heart is probably the best way to describe it. Highly recommended.

Denzel Washington gives a top notch performance as an enforcer who comes out of retirement to help save the lives of people whom he has met and befriended in his daily, quiet, off the grid new life. He definitely has a few personality quirks which some would call OCD, but his skills as a killer are unmatched!

After breakfast with the wife and grand-kids, I noticed that you Benton Harbor store was open earlier than the 10:00 AM, I had a gift card and wanted the DVD Equalizer, so when I ran in to get it, it was right there at the entrance and the movie November Man. I go both, and was out of there in 5 mins. Great.

If you couldn't tell I really liked John Wick. What that has to do with this movie. Well a lot. It's essentially the same premise. Guy with a past. Left it alone. Just so happens to be brought back in. Great story line in this one. It's not non stop but just enough to imply what he has done. But what else would expect from Denzel. He just makes good movies. Interesting thing though...this was an 80's show played by another character. Look it up.

This is a must own Denzel Washington Movie. Buy physical discs. Netflix and other streaming services compress and don’t look as good or sound as good. Plus then you truly own your movies instead of leasing them like Apple and Vudu.

Been a Denzel fan for a long time and he does a great job in this movie; adding additional dimension to Equalizer character. Also great job by director interpreting the nuances of the main character.

I was watching the movie previews when The Equalizer2 preview appeared on screen and it looked very entertaining so I bought the original to watch.This action-flick has a good plot and Denzel plays his part very very well.You will not want to miss this feature.

Denzel Washington is the man and he hands another amazing movie with this one! The equalizer is a non stop action movie once the ball gets rolling and Denzel is the man once again! Reminds me of Man on Fire type of movie, If you liked that one you will like this one as well! Must see movie!

Denzel's performance is very good. You can't really compare the 80's TV series to the movie, as the TV show had to be toned down (less violent). That being said it's action packed but kind of cliché with the bad guys being really bad. But it is an enjoyable movie overall and maybe a sequel is coming?

Good action movie, Denzel great as always, playing it cool. A little slow at the beginning but great because they use it to hook you and leave you wanting more. Cast was excellent. You couldn't get any better actors to portray evil. Glad to see I wasn't only one to watch series. Keep hope alive :)

Steelbook is beautiful I haven’t seen this film before so this is a blind buy! But the picture of the 4k is stunning and bluray format. I’m keeping my eyes out for the sequel. Really loved this action flick!!

I watched this film in movie theater when it was initially released and was very impressed with the movie. I like the character protagonist that Denzel Washington played in the movie. He was a character I actually cared about and found interesting. Very good character development. Very good fight and action scenes. My favorite part of the movie is when Denzel Washington kills a bad guy by shoving a shot glass into the guy's eye.

I was torn between renting and buying this movie, and ultimately decided to buy. I am very happy as this movie was AWESOME! Can't wait to show it to family and friends. Denzel delivers a performance that could only be topped by Training Day. Definitely one of the best action movies I've ever seen.

This is one of my all time favorite Denzel Washington movies and the 4k transfer just made it even better. Plenty of action that will truly test your audio system. Picture quality is outstanding.

As the soft spoken worker at the local home repair store, he's friendly and helpful to his co-workers. He has OBSESSIVE COMPULSIVE DISORDER. He befriends a younggirl who is beaten by her pimp an tries to help get out of that life. we then discover his previous life. A very good suspenseful movie
