Another Guy-With-A-Mysterious-Past-Gets-The-Bad-Guys film - but with Denzel Washington in charge it makes for a fine popcorn flick. Only a faint resemblance to the old TV series (which I enjoyed) - although the final scene hints that the sequel might advance the idea. If nothing else, all us old geezers can enjoy the fantasy of Taken, Equalizer, 3 Days to Kill, November Man.....

This is a great thrilling action packed movie. The bonus features are also a great addition. I would recommend getting this movie. You won't be disappointed.

Did not really enjoy Denzel Washington movies until " Remember the Titans". Then there were a few hit and miss, until " The Equalizer " came out. Whether or not, it was from the original series, a remake or just a movie, it is very entertaining.

Denzel as a former spy with OCD taking on the Russian mob; what more can you want from an action movie. Bullet time; check. Creative killing; check. Impending doom for the bad guy after thinking they had the situation well in hand; check. Must watch; two checks!

Well written and , as normal one of Denzel's Better Movies. Constant story line and they do not drag the movie on. keeps your interest all the way through. Fun action movie where the good guy ends helping out the under dog. He is starting to show the old Denzel.

The Equalizer mixes Denzel's performances in Man on Fire and Safe House. This movie proves to be one of the best shoot-em-up movies in recent memory. The beginning of the movie is relatively slow-moving, but the climax of the movie is well worth the wait.

Great action drama movie ! One of my favorite actors in Denzel Washington. Definitely one of his best movies. I seen this at the movie theater and purchase it when it came out of blu ray. Happy with my purchase of the equalizer.

There are enough twists and turns to keep you guessing and on your feet. The action is good and the plot is awesome. We rented it before actually purchasing. I did not return the rent movie until I had a copy in had. First week, we watched at least five times.

What can I say? Everything that Denzel is in is a must see. This movie is thrilling and suspenseful all rolled up into one. Denzel is calculating and two steps ahead of the bad guys. If you haven't seen this movie, grab your popcorn and get ready for a ride.

I am a fan of the television series and didn't want to see this movie because I thought that Denzel Washington wouldn't do justice to the role. I was greatly surprised that he was excellent in the role. I watched this movie and the extras several times.

The Equalizer is the first in this serious. It builds up too the action. The 2nd installment is in theaters now. Not to be a spoiler, excellent serious action pack. Watch the first to help with the second! Great Movie.

Denzel Washington truly outdoes himself in "The Equalizer"! If you're looking for an action-packed thriller that has depth, with characters you truly find yourself caring about, then look no further, as "The Equalizer" is just what you're after!

Great story line, great acting, and one of the best action movies in a long time. Bourne Identity is the standard I set for this type of movie. I watched this twice in one evening it was just that good. Denzel was excellent and the supporting cast as well.

This movie was everything I thought it would be and more. Denzel Washington delivers another stellar role. This puts me in the mindset of Man on Fire. He was unpredictable and an absolute genius! I was on the edge of my seat the entire movie. Great choice.

Any movie with Denzel is great. Movie revolves around Denzel cleaning up his community while being chased by gangsters. Really good film and I recommend sequel if you haven’t seen it already.

Another top notch action film by Denzel Washington who plays an ex CIA operative. Timeless plot of good vs. evil that nicely leaves itself open for a sequel. Excellent evolving story line punctuated with intense action sequences. This movie is a must see.

I waited way too long to jump on the hype train for The Equalizer and finally watched it in order to go see the sequel. The same day, I had to come pick this up. The steelbook is gorgeous and the movie is excellent.

Did not see this in the theater but rented it one night and that was enough for me I had to own it. There are a lot of elements in this movie that seem like other movies Denzel has done lately but when you got something that works...go with it!

Always expect good things from Denzel Washington and He never fails to deliver. Good movie based on an old TV series of the same name. A lot of violence, a lot of action, I enjoyed it but wouldn't want my grandkids to watch it until they were much older.

after jason bourne i think this is the best courageous man ever seen on those kind of movies , love this movie seen it 4 times already sound and picture quality amazing
