I had seen this movie in the theaters when it had came out. After the sequel was released and I had seen it, I wanted to go back and watch the first one again. Just as good the second time around.

This is such a good movie and Denzel knocked it out of the park. Not a big fan of the follow-up movie... but this one was awesome. Had to have it on limited edition 4K steel book version.

The 4K version of this movie is awesome! Great picture and sound thanks to HDR ! I would recommend this to anyone who likes intense action and violence! Denzel is great in this character.

Look really good for 4k and like the movies like this!

Denzel plays a wonderful part in this movie as he does in every movie. He's the quiet bystander that sticks up those who can't stick up for themselves. He does it with a lot of action.

I wish I could just survey a situation and know exactly how long it would take me to resolve it! It's one of the best scenes in the Equalizer. A tense, action-drama with a lot of cool fight scenes with Denzel. Excited for the sequel but this is one you should definitely check out first. 4K looks great.

Great movie to add to my showcase of being a great action movie.

I was surprised at how much I liked this movie when I saw in the theaters. It borrowed elements from the original TV show but this take was smart, action packed, and well-acted.

Watching this on 4K with a home theater system on a large tv is just awesome. Seeing it, hearing it and feeling it. Yes feeling. Just awesome if you have a nice home theatre.

Let's face it. Denzel Washington is in something you'll watch it. I know I will. Now this isn't his best work by any stretch but it's an entertaining movie nonetheless.

This is a great movie and in 4K with 4K played from Best Buy and OLED TV this is as clear as it gets. Highly recommend 4K movies from Best Buy in the metal box edition.

Basically if you like John Wick you will love this movie! He is the guy who doesn’t get paid to get rid of bad guys he does it to make the world better. And does it fast

This movie is supposedly a loose remake of the TV Series of the same name that starred Michael Chiklis back about 20 yrs. I don't recall being a fan of that series, but even if you weren't..and you're a Denzel Washington fan..you should give this movie a spin. I won't give away any plot details or things like that. Suffice it to say that it's a standard drama/action flick with some 'by the numbers" characters. Nevertheless, the ending act where Denzel takes on the bad guys in a "Home Depot" type store shows some real creative ways to bump off bad guys a-la "Home Alone". Be advised, though, this film has a VERY high violence/gore quotient and TONS of bad language. If you're easily offended by that kind of stuff, this film isn't for you. Technically, the blu-ray is superb. The movie has lots of dark scenes, and the disc never resorts to crush or bad black levels. Faces are clearly distinguishable, and some of the neon signs and city lights have an almost 3-D quality to them. The DTS-HD MA Audio track is wonderful. It's agressive and loud when needed, but never drowns out the dialog. The low end is forceful and deep when called for, and discrete surround effects are plentiful and realistic. The blu-ray also features a "Vengeance Mode" that allows you to watch the film normally till Denzel is shown in an action sequence. The film pauses after the sequence and Denzel and Director Robert McCall show you how the sequence was shot. It's interesting, but interrupts the flow of the film. Please be aware, though, that this movie does NOT come supplied with a DVD version. It's a Blu-ray/Digital HD release. No matter....Blu-Ray renders DVD useless anyway..and this type of film is best viewed on as large a screen as possible with the volume turned up so the neighbors complain. I recommend this film as a blind purchase if your a fan. All others will probably be happy with a rental.

It is a movie suitable for all audiences, I recommend it to everyone, Denzel is a super actor and in this film I could not miss the action and the desire for more.

Love and a fan of Denzel Washington movies, cool actor, have other movies of course. Good buy especially came in a steel case with Digital Copy for Movies Anywhere!

Denzel isnt your average person... especially when you give him a reason! Great movie and amazing action sequences. Now start that stopwatch and press play!

An outstanding actor and all round great person! This is one of his best character films and the start of a new film series! 4K UHD is outstanding as always!

Steel book cover art is nice. I enjoyed the movie. Gonna try and catch two for the collection. Enjoyed 2, but 1 really showed you he had a past to not mess with. Every one wants to keep their demons at bay. He let them go wild to help people. Hence the Equalizer.

Loved this movies. I was sold once I saw the trailer and the movie didn't disappoint. Denzel was great, in this role I highly recommend this.
