One song on here--"Hold On To Your Dreams" makes this album worth buying, especially since it was in BB'ds CD bargain barrel. I spend a lot of times looking for low-priced CD's and DVD items, for music and movies.

If you're just discovering Electric Light Orchestra's discography there's no better place to start than with The Essential Electric Light Orchestra. This compilation album contains all their hits & is perfect for someone who is just a casual Electric Light Orchestra fan.

All the best from ELO. Back in the analog days when music was created by dedicated musicians. If you like classic rock with an English flair, you won't be disappointed.

Skip greatest hits since it came out before Discovery and Time. Also avoid the Mr. Blue Sky compilation - it's all rerecordings. The Essential has all the hits and it was 6 bucks. Don't miss out!

Great collection on 1 cd! This is a good starting point for those who just discovered ELO or simply if you want something to listen to in your car. Quite pleased.

Great music, there are a couple of songs that I wish made the list but overall a great collection and really a good listen on road trips or listening at the house with an adult beverage and a cigar sitting on the lanai.

I was fortunate enough to see ELO live, and I have never forgotten the experience. This CD has all the hits, and shows why ELO will always be one of the most innovative pioneers in rock music from the 1980's on.

I didn't know all of the tunes based upon the titles, but I recognized more when I heard them. There was only one song that I would call "filler", which is pretty exceptional for a greatest hits type collection.

I enjoyed 80 percent of the music on this CD. I listened to it everyday going to work. No need to skip a song. One after another. Songs of the past. My 12 year old also listens to it

Nice collection of songs from a classic rock group. I've been following them since they changed their name from "The Move".

Forgot how many good songs this band has. Found this in the bargain bin which is all Best Buy has left of their cd's. I'm really bummed that Best Buy is no longer selling cd's.

One of my favorite collections of music from one of my all time favorite bands of all time. There’s not one bad song in this collection.

Three generations in my family enjoy this CD. Nobody hits the skip button on any of the songs. There are few discs that don't have a few songs to skip.

This was a great blast from the past! What I like about cds ia that there are none of the pops and crackles known to be on vinyl. Great toons and memories.

I have most of ELO's albums - some on vinyl and some on CD - but sometimes I just want to play some of their top hits while I am working and this CD fills the bill!

This has everything except the songs from Xanadu. It’s a great album and I’ve been listening to it since I purchased. If you appreciate ELO then this is a must.

Know all of these songs by heart. ELO had so many hits that most people don't realize were done by them. I listen to this one over and over.

The Essential ELO gives you exactly what you would expect from a greatest hits type of album. It has great energy and 95% of the songs are favorites from the past.
