This is an outstanding blu ray. Picture and sound quality are obviously great, but this version of the movie is a classic. The added scenes and sound make an amazing movie feel like brand new! What's even better is that the digital download is for the original, theatrical cut of the film, which is getting hard to find. Best of both worlds with one blu ray!

Even after all these years this movie still hold up well. This has to be hands down my favorite horror movie of all time and the reason I love the genre today. This movie definitely changed the game or horror.

Any Horror Fan Must have this in their collection! I could barely watch it as a 14yr old kid and I can barely watch it as a 35 year old (stunningly handsome of course) old man! There is a decent handful of movies that wander that top 10 Horror movies of all time. And this is one of them. The reason is quite simple. Everyone, wether your black or white, Christian or Buddhist, Old or young, everyone believes in some "form" of religion. And some form of Evil. No matter what your beliefs are, I think one of the best things about The Exorcist is that its relate-able. Evil overcomes us all at some point or another. Some peoples heads spin and others sneak a smoke. Same difference. LOVE IT! And the additional stuff was well done.

One of my absolute favorite films in a beautiful steelbook exclusive to Best Buy. Still one of the scariest films of our time.

You already know all about this legendary film. Nothing like it out there and continues to be the best out there! Though many today who might be watching for the first time might not really appreciate it, It will always hold a special place to me. For the steelbook itself, its a very satisfying purchase. The cover looks amazing in the red and the artwork on the back and inside is chilling. I do wish it included the Theatrical version Blu-ray in another disc but I'll take what I can get. PLEASE NOTE: The digital copy included with the film is in fact the THEATRICAL VERSION. So no Digital Director's Cut. Some like that some don't. Overall I'd say its a must own in any collection; most definitely if you haven't picked this film up. Sound and Picture Quality are on par with the other Blu-ray releases.

This film came out in 1973, and it was and still is one of the most controversial films of all time. It was written by William Peter Blatty and directed by William Friedken( The French Connection). The film stars Ellen Burstyn, Max Von Sydow, Lee J. Cobb, and Jason Miller. It's the story of a young girl who becomes inhabited by a demon. The film goes from trying to find medical reasons for the young girls quickly changing behavior to full catholic Exorcism! I've owned this film on Laser Disk and DVD, watching it on Blu-ray Disk really makes it stand out! This is a shocking film almost from start to finish! Watch it if you dare.

Honestly, I don't know what my family was thinking showing me this movie at a young age, but here I am now an adult and I still think about it very much. The fear of it was extreme when first saw it but as I got older I got to appreciate it. Behind all the scary stuff about demons, possession and the imagery shown I can look past it and see how a movie from 1973 still looks good with its practical effects. All other movies about possession try to be like this but can't get even close to this classic.

At almost 40 years of age, my viewing of The Exorcist is long overdue. There's no particular reason for that--I have long established my desensitization to the horror film genre. It was actually this steelbook package that persuaded me to take the plunge, coupled with the emerging Halloween season. So I finally watched it, and it is a quality horror film (up there with the likes of Rosemary's Baby), so I recommend it--not that you need me to.

This unflinching horror film still haunts people’s nightmares to this day. The story of demonic possession was a big one to use in the 1970s and this film is one of the reasons so many people imitated it. Linda Blair is great as the girl who is possessed and surrounded by a cast that is equally up to the task. This film often considered one of the best, if not THE best horror films ever made. Thankfully, it lives up to its lofty reputation!

I got this edition of the The Exorcist because the Slip Cover, I thought it would match very nicely with my Scream Factory releases of Exorcist II and Exorcist III this edition is only the Extended cut, but that's my personal favorite also has an amazing DTS HD 6.1 track and a terrific Documentary if you can, definitely pick this up for your collection

I’ve been a fan of the Exorcist for many years and it always puts me in that dark mood that I crave from horror films. The jump scares are scarce, and the feeling of dread and sorrow is laid on thick, just how I like it. I’m not a person of faith, but this film will make you feel like one for its runtime, and it will scare you silly in the meantime.

This movie is a freaking classic which should make you want to buy it. There are not many copies of this movie available; especially ones with the special features. This movie had a lot of great features as it shows the impact that The Exorcist had on audiences. It’s a nice steelbook and it has a creepy image of Reagon inside the case.

This is a great horror classic which is worth adding to your collection. It is a movie that stands the test of time. It is one of those movies that you can watch more than once and it it still remains scary. I highly recommend this movie to all horror fans.

Look, Ive seen this a million times and so have a few more people. I tell you like this, if you want to buy it, just buy it. I already have the bluray, I just wanted the steelbook art because I collect a few steelbooks.

I think everyone's familiar with this suspense/drama (not really a horror film), so not much to say. However, this version in Bluray has been remastered and has the best quality picture and sound thus far. Well worth paying just over $10 for the steelbook package.

This Blu-ray has an magnificent transfer with very informative supplements. I say this first as The Exorcist is a perfect film with the extended cut only adding to that. A great value here with the inclusion of the digital copy. A must buy!

Been looking for this movie on bluray for the longest time so when I saw best buy was releasing a bluray steelbook of the director’s cut I had to jump on it. The package is beautiful, an awesome piece for any horror movie collector.

As an avid horror fan and huge horror buff I have waited for this film to be presented in this great format as a steelbook collector's edition; amazing price for a classic!

Among the best films ever made, the extended version adds more creepiness and green pea soup. DTS 6.1 adds great dimension to the sound effects and music and the steelbook packaging is top notch. The extras are also great.

Excellent movie and packaging. I never purchased this movie before so was happy to pick up the lenticular cover and bluray version. Best Buy did lenticular covers for several old horror movies and they look spectacular.
