While this movie won't win any awards or even be well-remembered in years to come, it's certainly a treat for fans of the series or 80's action movies. The cast is great, the action is relentless and ridiculous, and the tone stays rather light. The selling point for the Blu-ray is the Dolby Atmos sound, that, when played on a home theater that supports the format, will simply blow the viewer away. Helicopters swarm around the room, bullets whiz from front to back and back to front, and explosions shake the walls. For the price, this is a great-sounding, fun time-waster.

I bought this movie in 4K blu-ray and little disappointed about color! in the beginning after i insert this disc into the 4K blu-ray player, the screen of this movie for setting up audio/subtitle... shows "purple" color!! what's wrong with it? Anyone who bought this in 4K blu-ray has the same? The whole movie is boring color, white, gray, black... i meant it's not multi shining colors! Can some one help to explain that's the way this disc made or just my disc is problem? (other my 4K blu-ray disc is ok with color, just this one! and the 4K Madmax Fury road is so orange/red) thanks

I really really enjoyed this film! I know the critics ripped it to shreds and even got Stallone to apologise for the film, but I totally got into this film! Ive been a big fan of part 1 & 2, and 3 was NO disappointment! In fact I like it the best so far! LOVED the new cast members, great eye candy! But the characters are fresh and exciting and the actors, although well known, play against there norm and really surprise you! And the action scenes - especially the opening and then the final scene - BLEW MY SOCKS OFF! I loved it so much I wish I had been there to WATCH it being made - it HAD to have been fun making that movie! I give it an A! Cant wait for part 4!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stallone and guys have a good thing going but I don't know if they can keep it going a lot longer? I grew up watching all the action stars which is the main reason I love these movies. It is great to see them all again sometimes in "match-ups" they never did when they were in their "prime". Of course it helps that I ended up winning an Amazon contest which simply asked me who my favorite character was! That was great! Had to pickup the Blu-ray once it dropped a little in price, since it isn't necessarily a family favorite. Enjoy!

Having seen all of the Expendables movies, I can report that this film breaks the trilogy curse by being the best of the bunch. Admittedly none of these films ate Oscar material, but if you're looking for a mindless evening of quite-good action and adventure Expendables 3 is for you. Sure the cast is pretty old--Except for current action star Jason Stratham- but there's a lot to be said for experience! And who doesn't like seeing Mel Gibson as a villain! Don't expect Shakespeare but just grab the popcorn and go along for the ride.

Although the movie, in my opinion started off slow, and it took a lot of time gathering these new members, the later establishment of them was worth the wait, and the chemistry was there. Some moments of forced acting from Rhonda Rousey, but can be overlooked and hopeful with time that if appearing in any future installments or movies, will have better acting. Antonio Banderas pretty much made the film for me though, as I felt he did a fantastic job in the role he was playing. Not only was he funny, he kicked some major butt.

This was a pretty good sequel especially when it had to live up to Expendables 1 & 2. With this next installment I was looking forward to seeing how Mel Gibson's character would play out. And out of the three films Gibson's done within the past 2 years or so the boost up his career (Gringo, Machete Kills, & this), this performance rocked. Overall a pretty good film. The audio and video each score 5 out of 5. This is just good old fashioned action at it's best. Very, very little CGI on all three Expendables movies. Just good old plain old school REAL effects, .

I have watched all Expendables and this is the best so far. It has all the movie heroes together and is action action action all the way. If you want Shakespeare this is not it, if you want a romantic message this is not it. If you want ACTION, shooting, explosions, destruction and good winning over evil despite the odds being loaded against you, this is the movie you need to see. All the action heroes have learned their trade well, we all need heroes, they are here. Bring on Expendable 4!!!

I used a bonus offer that Best Buy provided to me by email. The transaction was easy to place and seamless to use the offer. The DVD's came fairly quick. I was kind of surprised that the packaging was just an "overwrap" of thin cardboard, but there was no damage to the DVD's so I guess I can say it was sufficient AND my shipping was no charge anyhow! Overall, easy to shop, easy checkout and fairly quick delivery

How can a movie with a cast like this go wrong? Each movie adds more Actors and actresses that dominated the Action movies during the previous thirty years and this one adds in some cast mates that are in the news today. It's kind of a nice thought that Ronda Rousey is seen in a movie that showcases her talents so well. She and the other newcomers hold their own with Sly, Statham, and Arnold. They can't make too many of these for my tastes, it's a guilty pleasure satisfied immensely.

I loved this movie! The critics tore this apart & don't agree! To me its the best of the 3 films so far! New characters that I fell in love with right off the bat, some great twists you don't see coming, great actors playing against there usual roles, and action sequences that will have you leaping off your couch! The opening and final battle scenes were so amazing I wanted to be there to watch them shoot the scenes! It must have been a blast to work on this film! Cant wait for part 4!!!

This movie is worth watching but the writers could have improved the plot and characters.

The third expendables movie came with the action yet again and it came strong. chock full of awesome stars and cameos from action heroes from the 80's 90's and 2000's... the mix is great. if you are looking for a deep, quality story... this may not be the flick for you. but if you want some good, old school action movie style goodness, with plenty of one liners, throwback references and over the top action scenes and stunts, then you will love this movie.

Saw the movie on blu-ray when it was first released and enjoyed it. Lots of action with the best action movie actors all in one film. This time I watched it on a 75" Samsung 4K TV/Ultra 4K player and a Sony 7.1 home theater set up anchored by a Klipsch 400 watt sub. The combination of the large 4K picture and the Master Dolby audio gives us a movie theater experience at home. Our home theater is 90% Best Buy items.

This film is not a cerebral romp. This movie is a popcorn munching sit back in your seat and watch things blow up throughout fight scenes type of film. Stalone put together a crew of action stars that make fun of themselves and truly seem to just have fun. The film has some heart and is put together well but the bottom line is that it's satisfying to watch because you get what you came in for, solid entertainment.

With the amount of action stars in this movie, it should have been a slam dunk. Alas, the studio's decision to tone back the violence in order to get a PG-13 rating ultimately hurt the overall product. I kind of wish Best Buy would let me rate things in half stars because really this one was a 3.5 at best. It was very cool to see the greatest UFC fighter ever, Ronda Rousey get so much screen time though!

The Expendables 3 was all that and more, totally enjoyed it even more so than the last two and I loved them too. Great action, had even a more 80's feel to it with a bigger kill count but less blood and gore in this one, bigger cast and Sly and Arnold together again in this movie is even a bigger reason for a must have DVD/Blu-Ray. Just a pity it took so long for these two to make a movie together, just imagine a Rambo/Commando type team up back in the day.

This is the 3rd movie in the Expendables franchise. More people involved and a lot of time was taken to explain why each person should be able to join the team. This took time from the actual mission but once started had plenty of why we watch this type of movie. ACTION, gunfire, explosions. While I believe it to be the least of of the three movies, it was enjoyable and the action satisfying.

I love the first Expendables and felt the 2nd was actually more enjoyable. This 3rd time around, the characters are still great but it doesn't quite have the same draw. It's an enjoyable film to watch, but not quite up to par with the first two. Partially due to it's PG-13 rating in my opinion. And the unrated version really adds nothing. Still a fun movie, but not great for an action film.

Word is, another Expendables movie is being made, so you can't call part 3 an ending. But in a way, the story wraps some things up. "The Expendables 3" is more of the same, over-the-top explosions, action hero/villain stereotypes, and gun/weapons exposition, but it's enjoyable and the pace clicks along. And if this is the end of your Expendables run, it makes a great endcap to a trilogy.
