A great story and a very relatable situation for my family.

I found “The Farewell” to be an extraordinarily affecting film despite its delicate and subtle sensibility toward the multiple themes within it. This is its strength. These subjects include dealing with death and the cultural differences between East and West as well as the dynamics of family life. Though it is often matter-of-fact about these issues it leaves you with much to think about.

Was a interesting movie to see and shows language barriers when an Asian person is raised in America versus their country of origin type returns to country. Family values. Etc.

This is a masterclass in acting on the part of every actor involved. What a phenomenal film. If you enjoy films that take humanistic approaches and ask you to sit down and go with the flow I highly recommend this film.

A deeply moving and compelling story, brought to the screen by an award-deserving Lulu Wang and even worthier Awkwafina in her best performance so far and Zhao Shuzhen as her larger-than-life Nai Nai.

1st Aquafina rules this film, she is an amazing talent and I hope to see it used properly again. 2nd this film is a wonderful heartfelt journey into the complexities of family.

A24 puts out another wonderfully artistic portrait of a family trying to keep it together for the sick matriarch. Awkwafina is great in this film.

The story of a family tradition that the main character cannot get behind. Wonderfully acted. Great release and a must add to your collection.
