The best packaging you can get a movie in.

The steelbook casing is the best packaging you can buy for your movies. Extremely durable and beautiful artwork to have. Lacking in extras but the movie looks beautiful and has no problems in this release.

A very different view of the future Earth

5 of 5 stars for the sci-fi movie Fifth Element. OK, how do you summarize this movie? Sigh. OK, take three stone symbols which are a key to a protective weapon useable to keep away some nasty aliens who want to take the world, add in sexy girl (Milla Jovovich) who is a guardian of the weapon, a taxi driver (Bruce Willis), more aliens, some priests who know the secrets, an evil traitor working with the bad aliens and you have a really wild sci-fi story. Oh, it all takes place on the Earth in the dstant future. Did I mention the taxi moves in all 3 dimensions?
An expansive vision of a whole different Earth with many different types of beings. Bruce Willis does a great job in the Sci-Fi movie. Really good story and well executed. Extensive special effects and really wild sets. This is a must see sci-fi movie!

Outstanding

The Fifth Element has grown on me over the years, from a movie I didn't like at first to one of my all-time favorites. The acting is terrific if you try not to take it too seriously (i.e. Tiny as the president, which I love, by the way). I can't get enough of the characters portrayed by Bruce Willis, Gary Oldman and most certainly Chris Tucker. It has some fun action sequences, a great soundtrack, and a solid dose of humor throughout.
All of that said, I know that the question you are most likely asking is "How's the quality of the Blu-Ray edition?"
Outstanding.

Beautiful art work but short on features

This release unfortunately has been meet with anger. The art work and overall packaging is great with amazing pop art Steelbook yet, the features are so minimal that a newer version of this film was released on 4K that has all the features. Don’t make the mistake I did and buy this version.

This is one of my most watched films....fun story, cool visuals, hilarious dialogue and Bruce Willis. This makes me feel like a teen again....going to the movies with friends and having a great time. Casting was spot on....Gary Oldman is funny and Chris Tucker is a riot. Different storyline than most which makes it stand out as a fun Sci-Fi flick. I decided to buy it on Blu-Ray and got the re-mastered version. No regrets. The transfer is really good and looks loads better than the first time around. So glad they re-mastered it! If you are a Bruce fan this is a must have.

I love this movie so much that I have bought it several times as the formats changed, I saw it several times in the theater when it came out, I bought it on tape (just before DVDs came out), it was one of the first DVD's I purchased even before I had a DVD player, same thing when it came out on Blu-Ray, and since that disc got damaged, I upgraded to this copy. If you never have seen this movie it is one of the best Sci-Fi movies out there...and Chris Tucker is Epic as Ruby Rod!!

This is one of my favorite movies so I had to get it on blu-ray. I heard that this is actually the second blu-ray release of this movie; the first was not that much better than the dvd copy. Anyways, the movie has great visuals and the sound on 5.1 is amazing. However I was pretty disappointed to find that there were extras included. If you like this movie and have a blu-ray system, don't hesistate to buy this movie!

The Fifth Element is a fun and action packed sci-fi film. Everyone knows that. What I will talk about quickly is the new remastered Blu-Ray. Does it look great? Yes! The third time is the charm for this release as color and detail are improved over the previous versions. Should you pick it up? Depends on your display and how much you value picture quality. If you do, you won't be disappointed.

Mastered in 4K

If you really want to buy a version that you are satisfied, buy the Mastered on 4K blu ray version. Avoid the UHD as you will be disappointed with the clarity of the transfer. The Mastered in 4k version offers bright colors and great contrast while the UHD version darkens the transfer to make it look like HDR.

Bruce at his best

One of my favorite Bruce Willis movies that also happens to have one of the hottest co-stars ever, Milla Jovovich, looking her best(in my opinion). It also features Chris Tucker in one of his funniest and most memorable rolls. With beautiful sets full of color that take you from ancient Egyptian ruins, to space, and then back again, this story will keep the movie lover coming back for more.

I've had this movie on regular DVD for quite a while, and watched it again and again. That was until my 2 year old got the disk. We bought it again but this time on BD, and I found myself saying "WOW what a difference!"
The action, and graphics really come to life, and on a HD tv, through an HDMI cable, you will find yourself seeing this movie for the first time all over again.

This movie are awesome. Whats even better is the 4k on this disc, and the hdr takes it to another level. Im very picky about what 4k titles to buy because picture quality is important to me. Theres this reviewer on youtube "Brass Tax", honestly, the best 4k reviewer out there (very funny but extremely knoledgable on 4k) I dont buy a disc without watching his review first as he is spot on!. Heres the link for his review on this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=44vJxE1MNNE&t=10s Check him out, you'll thank me!

Comic book based and full of fun. Everyone in the cast is terrific. Easily quotable for fellow movie geeks. The first time I saw this I was fairly young and it didn't hold my interest, but now I have no idea how that was possible. However, if you don't care for sci-fi, futuristic worlds or crazy lifeforms, you may not like it.

just had to throw in my 2-cents on how much better it was to watch on blu-ray. I notice not many mention if the blu-ray is worth the buy, cause half my movies I have kept as dvd since I seen no difference in quality. this was one I was amazed in the quality difference and now gonna sell my dvd version of the movie.

With the combination of Bruce Willis' rugged, macho charm and Chris Tucker's outrageous Prince-like character, this movie will have you laughing till the end. Milla Jovovich also gives a great performance as a butt-kicking "perfect" woman, sent to save the world. This movie is witty and cool, a real must see!
