Cult Classic but not for all tastes.

The Fifth Element is an entertaining action sci-fi adventure directed by Luc Besson and starring Bruce Willis. For a movie made in the 90's the visual effects are impressive. The cast is equally impressive, with Willis in his prime. Milla Jovovich is great in the title role. Gary Oldman is always a good villain and he does a good job once again in this one. Chris Tucker shows up later in the movie and is funny if not a bit over the top... This movie won't be for all tastes. It is loaded with comedy and some people probably won't connect with the humor-particularly Chris Tucker's character. But if you're a fan of the stars and Besson's directing style you'll enjoy this one... The 4K quality of this movie is great. There are plenty of visuals to show off the format. It is a bit grainy at times. The movie is over 20 years old and the picture won't compare as well with newer movies, but overall it's a great looking and sounding movie...A-

Classic movie with a new 4K format. I’m sad that the brain trust down at corporate has chosen to discontinue selling Blu-ray movies. Another in a long list of reasons not to visit the store in person, eliminating the chance for an impulse buy. Another nail in the corporate coffin.

The 5th Element is a classic fun movie, with a lot of popular actors and actress. This 4K version brought the fun back to my screen with crisp detailed visual effects, and the audio boomed at just the right times, submerging you into the moment. I highly recommend this 4K movie for everyones collection.

Over the years I’ve bought this wonderful film many times. This is about the 5th copy which I’m laughing at a little bit... “the 5th Copy”... Well, I’m not disappointed. I’ve only just recently began to upgrade my purchases to 4K and when this came on sale of course I couldn’t resist. This is one of only a films I can watch over and over and never get bored with it. The 4K here is excellent and only goes to make the brilliant production design pop even more which I thought was impossible. I highly recommend this film and this edition.

    Perfect for 4K Experience

The Fifth Element is a cult classic out of this world film from 1990s. The movie features lush, colorful and action packed scenes which lend their best to a 4K experience. The film centers around an evil "planet" that wants to wipe out the universe. The only thing that can stop it is the "Fifth Element", a perfect warrior that is surround by four elements: Earth, Wind, Fire and Water. It is an entertaining film that has become a cult favorite. This is a great movie to pick and enjoy, especially in 4K.

Always liked this movie, and the disc provides superlative picture quality on the Sony 77 inch Master Series 4k OLED that we bought from the Magnolia section of the Montrose Ohio Best Buy store a couple years ago.

    Extra Punch and Detail

The movie already has a great deal of dynamism and detail in the standard version. The 4k version turns up the volume, so to speak. Fine detail becomes sharper, colors more vibrant, contrast increased, all things that make the movie even more enjoyable. The sound is great too. If you have a first-rate home theater setup, the movie will shine gloriously. With a regular t.v. it will be like someone adjusted all your controls, Windexed your t.v. screen, cleaned your eyeglasses.

4K brings new life to my old DVD memories

One of my fav quirky movies of all time. Humorous, boisterous, wonderful SFX, snappy dialog, great sets and Chris Tucker rocks his role to the Nth degree. The sets' homage to Blade Runner are evident. There is no shortage of just plain weird, over the top, characters and the transfer to 4K brings new life to my old DVD memories. Although I've seen this movie more than a dozen times, seeing it in 4K was almost like watching it for the first time again..

Great movie and collector's edition worth having for all the bonus content that was previously not released on the high def blu-ray until recently. Since it was a steal for the price I snatched it up and put my blu ray in the holder where the DVD goes to just keep one copy on the shelf in my collection and stashed the DVD in the single disk blu ray case away in the closet...just in case.

It's a good quality 4k conversion of a really fun 90's action flick. If you like what you see in the bluray then the upgrade is well worth it, especially if you can snag it on sale.

I highly recommend everybody who love good, fun sci-fi action should hurry to get The Fifth Element in 4K. The movie looks fantastic in 4K UHD. Everything is so clear. I have seen things in the movie that I never saw before. The colors just pop out at you! I highly recommend The Fifth Element!!! Don't watch it on Netflix. Having the actual physical disc is far superior!

I've had the DVD and then the Blu-ray versions of Fifth Element and got this to get the superior quality of 4K UHD. The upgrade does not disappoint, with the new transfer taking full advantage of additional detail where available in the original master. Note that the streaming code gives you a 4K stream in Movies Anywhere but only an HDX stream in Vudu.

the SteelBook vs. the regular blu-ray plastic case

One of the best looking 4K movies and my first Best Buy SteelBook. I am sure it costs more to manufacture a SteelBook, but it feels way too heavy. I guess if you are a hard core movie collector, you wouldn’t mind paying more for a limited edition SteelBook that you can display on a bookshelf. As for me, the regular plastic case works as good if not better.
