Worse than ridiculous
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Perhaps opera lovers and dog food fans could stomach this pile of rubbish. It in every way is so aggravatingly silly that I quit watching it less than half-way through. There is no shame among the cast and crew, who insult the intelligence of an armadillo. Other than that, not bad.

best buy sucks
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Apparently if you order movies with digital copies from best buy online they feel it is ok to bait and switch. They will send you product without the digital code then tell you you can not return them.

Bad Copy of Master
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tried multiple disk, and all of them had glitches on them. This skipped scenes of the movie all together. Tested on two 4k players and a 4k player at Best Buy, all having the same results. Master movie had issues prior to making copies.

Case Broken
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nevermind the excellent 4K quality on the disc because as I scanned the UV code, went to close the collectible steelbook case, and it snapped in half, so much for being collectible steelbook, the seam is evidently collectible plastic.

Review for packaging, not movie
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought the 4K version. It came sealed in shrink wrap. Opened it up, and the digital voucher was folded multiple times and stuffed in the case, and the digital code was redeemed.

Wow, the image looks so dirty!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like the title says, it looks terrible. I have the re mastered bluray version too and tried both my 4k bluray and re mastered bluray on both my Tv's and the 4k version looked very bad on both of them. The player I am using is a Samsung UBD-K8500 and the tv's I have are a Samsung UN65JS8500 and a LG 65 OLED E6 tv which happens to be the main Living room tv. Both of the tvs experience a very dirty sandy look on the actors faces vs the re mastered and cheaper Bluray version I got a year ago. I am very disappointed with this, I did everything I could to clean up the image like reducing the sharpness on both tv's and lowering down the contrast which did help a lot but you could still see this haze of blurryness. On the Samsung I was able to fix the picture a lot better by selecting BD-wise as a video encoding option on my 4k bluray player which unfortunately only works on Samsung tv's that have that feature but the picture was acceptable. On my LG OLED E6 in the other hand with the same player, keep in mind I have two of the same k8500 players one for each tv, getting back to the review, i had to do a lot more work on the TV's end just to make it viewable. I Dont recommend this version to anyone, I love the movie A LOT but I just couldn't stand what Sony did to the 4k disc version, it's like they didn't even try to make it look better. I had The same experience with the 4k ULTRA versions of the Original Ghost Busters movies and the Laberynth movie as well, the Blurays were fine though just like the remastered one I have of the fifth element. Since this is the 3rd time I get a terrible copy of a great movie, I'm personally gonna stay away from the older movies from 1990 and bellow as 4k Ultra "remastered" movies and just buy the cleaner Bluray versions from now on when it comes to those older movies of course. However do not get discouraged with the newer 4k Ultra movies like Enders Game, DeadPool or Assassins creed as those look Amazing on both my Tv's. You can clearly see the costume stitching on DeadPool and you can see Harrison Ford's facial pores and wrinkles on his neck with the 4k Ultra movies lol!

Cool steel book art, old, blurry, transfer.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I went to Best Buy today and picked up the new steel book. I pop the Blu ray in and the beginning of the movie outside in the desert is all riddled with dirt. I watch about 45 minutes and just think the image is soft. I get out my original Blu ray, the second Blu Ray release in the USA with the better transfer which is AVS encoded. It looks like Sony used the old, blurrier, upconverted inferior transfer instead that is MPEG encoded. I'm pretty bummed. I payed $15 for a steel book with and old, outdated transfer. Nice screw up Sony.

Avoid this like the plague
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Avoid this problematic release like the plague. Instead, be certain that you are buying the remastered re release of this title. While the box art for this remastered edition is nearly identical to the earlier Blu-ray release, the words "Experience High Definition" appear in silver foil, (not gray), and Dolby TrueHD is listed among the audio tracks on the back of the box on the new edition.
