The action, the special effects, Chris Pine - all excellent. The visuals made the movie so suspenseful and exciting. Also, this was based on true events. Highly recommend to anyone who enjoys action movies.

The movie, I ABSOLUTELY loved! The only problem with it (and it was my fault completely for not noticing it) was that it was Blue Ray and digital download only, not a DVD. But the story is among my absolute favorites!!

It is amazing to see the courage and strength of the human will. I could never do what these brave men do. Many owe their lives to brave men and women who put themselves in harms way. Great movie with good actors.

Enjoyable movie though some parts were hard to believe. If these guys went through what they portrayed in the movie it's hard to believe they didn't die from hypothermia considering the time of year it took place. Otherwise it was a great movie!

From what I've read this appears to be a fairly accurate depiction of what these men went through. It's a great tale of team work and bravery under very difficult and scary circumstances.

A wonderful, under rated film. Even though the film alternates between the Coast Guard rescue boat on an open stormy sea, and the vast engine area of a tanker, you almost clausterphobic. I recommend highly.

What a great movie. Based on fact one of the greatest Coast Guard rescues in history. Casting was spot on. Really enjoyed the movie. The extras are definitely worth watching especially if you like history

Great period piece that is well done, looks legit, exciting while tragic and taught me about an incident I never knew happened. Watched with my son, who was inspired. Chris Pine in a role different for him shows impressive versatility.

What a great movie! Saw this in the movie theaters when it came out and enjoyed it! Hats off to the men and women of the US Coast Guard who serve our country! This truly was their finest hour!

This is a great movie especially if you have a loved one in the Coast Guard and also if you have a passion for boating. I also loved because I am from the area where the movie was filmed.

Edge of your seat, can't miss drama. The acting and casting - flawless. Action scenes very realistic and interesting. Don't see how anyone could not like this movie. A must see/own!

Excellent drama depicting actual real life events. Characters were well acted, especially Chris Pine's and Casey Affleck's characters. Suspenseful movie that can be enjoyed by all.

Though the acting from the main characters at times became overly dramatic, the true story of the heroic rescue of the surviving crew members of a foundered oil tanker off the shores of Massachusetts is a gripping saga.

Great move about a true story and shows the courage dedication and determination of the men and women of the U.S. Coast Guard tradition and values as well as high standards .

My special lady throughly enjoyed this film, it also had number of thrilling action scenes, so I didn't mind it either! If you're looking for a solid film based on true events, you can't miss out on Finest Hours.

This was a great movie. It started off a little slow but got right into the plot. It shows the resilience of the Coast Guard. It was good to see another part of the military.

I work for the Coast Guard and love the way that this story was told and the chance to see how the rescue unfolded. It was done in a way that the whole family could enjoy.
