This horror franchise is awesome,, scary to think if it was true ,,

The Purge movies have been good, thus far. I would say I have maybe one or two more in me, though, and that's it. As usual, they will probably overdue it, though, and ruin the franchise. The first was still the best. Good to see the back story in more detail, though.

The outcome is obvious because this is the "first purge" but with all these types of movies there fun. (just don't take them to seriously) sound and visuals are fantastic. if you're not a fan of the previous purge movies this movie going to bring you around.

Honestly, other than different character development, if you have seen one of the Purge movies, there isn't a whole lot of surprise in any of the other ones. Nevertheless, if you enjoy gore and suspense, it might be a worthwhile expenditure of time.

Tell the story of the first movie, the history of the purge. I really liked it and enjoyed watching it. Not so far fetch from reality now in days when people are so. Violent and governments being corrupt. The video quality its great at 4k

Great movie you can watch these in any order, this is like a prequel to the original purge movie but it takes a much more one-sided approach to the politics. The "who is right and who is wrong" aspect is pretty much gone from the franchise at this point, and the political overtones can be a little annoying at times. Still enjoyed the movie and would recommend it if you liked the first three.

Watched the other Purge movies that came out before this one. Of course, each one was totally different than the previous one. First Purge I thought was the better one of all of them. the storyline was better.

For those who like the purge movies, I strongly suggest you watch all the previous movies before watching this one. As some sequels never equal up to the first movie. This purge won’t let you down.

Great movie. Bunch of scares. But I didn’t like how it was suppose to be the first purge. And that would have been in the late 90s if you do the math from the other movies and I kept hearing new modern day songs being played in the movie at party’s so the timing is sooooooooo off for the music. But everything else is great.

The first three purge movies cover bad, good and great and this one falls between good and great. Not as good as Anarchy but better than Election Year and WAY better than the original

Excellent prequel to The Purge series. It is stylish and action packed in a nice blu-ray/dvd/digital copy combo pack. A must see f you are a fan of the series.

Not my favorite in the series but I got this one sale and it was the SteelBook. Still a pretty good movie if you like the other movies in the series.

It's crazy who think up these movies and have the nerve to keep them going, but this one was a lot more interested thank 2 and 3, 1 is still the best.

I liked the few first Purge films so I thought I would try the latest one out. Nothing too new here. Price was right so I bought it.

As a fam of the series I was a little disappointed in this one but it was still fun, looks great in 4k and sounds legit via dtsx.

Pretty good followup/prequel. Still does not have the shock value of the fisrt movie. But still great for the collection.

i really enjoyed this movie it had some nice nods to the old movie and a fresh plot. the score by john carpenter was great too

This movie explains a lot...Why and how the purge began. If you enjoyed the first, you will find this one interesting.

I brought this because it was in a low sales price. I'm not a big fan of pre sequal films. But this one is good one.

Fits with our world situations now days. This could easily become a reality. A good lead in to the other precious movies.
