This movie is sometimes overlooked but it's such a gem with amazing characters played by an A list of actors. This movie is from Terry Gilliam of Monty Python fame and like his other movies is something that you have to watch, spend some time thinking about it and watch again a few months later. You will see different things each time as the characters expose their souls (some raw and painful) and come to some powerful & personal resolutions.

This to me says the nature of humanity, and how to come back from lifes challenges, no matter what life throws at you you will come back when someone is in your corner and is there for you, no matter how crazy, no matter how different they are, if you have that person in your corner you can be in the worst place on earth, but you will make it.

A Wonderful movie, an adult whimsical fairytale with a dark underbelly. Amazing performances from all, Jeff Bridges and Mercedes Ruehl are great together, Amanda Plummer is superb but the real star is Robin Williams, who is both zany and funny, as well as, serious and somber. Not to be missed.

This movie had me on the edge of my seat. It was full of humor and heartbreak and so much more. A excellent comedy in part of Robin Williams and Jeff Bridges.

A redemption story through the eyes of Robin Williams and Jeff Bridges, told by Tery Gilliam. a Story with a heart, that can make you laugh at the excess of the 90's, and the Howard Stern culture of the time. With a happy ending and a song about NYC!

Terry Gilliam is a one of a kind genius filmmaker... just check out BRAZIL, TWELVE MONKEYS, FEAR AND LOATHING IN LAS VEGAS and of course MONTY PYTHON AND THE HOLY GRAIL Robin Williams and Jeff Bridges at their best.

This is one of Terry Gilliam's best movies. It brings attention to the homelessness problem and how mentally ill are treated by society. Great performances by Robin Williams and Jeff Bridges. Highly recommended.

No special features despite being a deluxe release (Criterion will remedy that soon), it's a brilliant film by Terry Gilliam and probably the only romantic comedy that won't make you wonder "...why are they together?"

Robin williams steals the show as usual. His characterization is dead on, The ensemble is excellent and the plot, altough somewhat difficult to follow at first, is well written. The movie is so good I bought it.

The Fisher King is a performance movie, a screenplay movie, a directorial movie, an atmospheric movie, and a premise movie. It's the whole package, and I was glad to pick it up as a blu-ray bin blu.

Robin Williams and Jeff Bridges are incredible in this movie. It is definitely not a comedy, and quite dark at times. I think this is probably Robin Williams's best on par with Dead Poets Society.

When the name Robin Williams is mentioned regarding film, the high points are Mrs. Doubtfire, Flubber, and Good Morning, Vietnam. While all of those films are great, this mid-90s gem is worth seeing.

This is a older movie that we have not seen and was delighted when I was able to purchase it from BestBuy at a good price so my wife and I can watch it anytime we want.

If you've never seen this movie. Watch it. It's cheap. It has a great story. It is heart wrenching at times and hilarious in others. One of Robin Williams brilliant performances.

This disc is worth picking up for the underrated Robin Williams performance alone, but the blu-ray transfer isn't bad either and one can't beat the price. More than worth the money and time investment the film requires.

New Robin Williams movie found for us. Looked for the movie purposely because on movie reviewers 'must see' list. Sadly, it is a bit slow, but a lot of great acting. Very different from the Robin Williams norm we are used to.

An outstanding performance from robin williams, Jeff bridges, and Amanda Plummer. Watchers will not be disappointed if they're looking for a different type of drama.

My favorite Robin Williams movie of all time and possibly his least known. Love this movie. It takes you from laughter to heartbreak and you enjoy every minute of it.

This is probably Robin Williams BEST work and should have at least been nominated for an award. Jeff Bridges is brilliant as well. This is an outstanding film.
