If you are interested in buying this DVD, you likely already know the background story. If you don't, it's similar to Spiderman: bright young man with tragic background gets caught in freakish lab accident (of sorts) and gains extranormal powers. He decides to do good. The usual unrequited love interest is there, along with the "father figure" who isn't his actual father. Of course, there are background plots, wheels within wheels, and the hero is being manipulated by someone who he believes is a friend. Good stuff, if nothing really new, but entertaining nonetheless. No excessive violence and no cursing that I noticed, so probably appropriate for older grade school kids.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I fist watched this after seeing all the darker dc movies they've been coming out, but I was actually surprised by how funny, light toned, yet emotional this show was. Very happy with my purchase this is easy a show that you could rewatched over and over again. Plus it has over 20 episodes so it's worth the money.

This is an absolute great deal 2-for -1 BD + DIGITAL HD & I got it while Bestbuy had a clearance for it going on, so it was marked down. :D anyway, always better when you get the digital with it, so of your away from home you can stream your movies/shows and watch rite where you left off-I go with vudu great service! All great price.

This spin off of the CW's other amazing show centered around a DC Universe superhero, the Arrow, is as good as the show it originated on. Follow Barry Allen after an accident that leaves him with super speed. While Arrow is very gritty, the Flash has a bit more of an upbeat tone to it. If you are a fan of the DC Universe, I highly recommend this series!

For my money, The Flash is the best superhero show on tv. It really captures the hope Barry Allen/The Flash represents, contrasting with the darkness of its sister show, Arrow. The cast is great, particularly Harrison Wells and Cisco Ramone. I also really enjoyed the villains. The show allows them to be very comic-book like without becoming campy.

Among the glut of superhero television shows, "The Flash" stands out by not joining the "dark" parade. Not everyone dresses in black and gray. The villains don't always seem to be winning. There aren't as many deaths. (And consequently they are more meaningful.) It's more like a real superhero comic book - at least what they used to be. The writers and producers also add little bits that fans of the comic will appreciate but which don't hurt the enjoyment of the casual viewer. In short, it's a good time. The DVDs also have enough extras with them to keep almost anyone happy and make you sure you're getting good value. All in all, a very nice product.

Barry Allen in the show is the least statuesque hero in modern superhero live-action fiction, which is perfectly cool when you think about the fact that he's fast. He doesn't need to look like he can bench-press a planet to be quick, and thankfully, as a character, he's charming enough that even if you think otherwise you won't care.

Starting as a spin-off of The CW's Arrow, the Flash has already surpassed the bar set by Oliver Queen. The writer's simply "get" the character of Barry Allan, and they show it! Amazing comic book villains, crossovers with Arrow, and some rather deep themes of family and destiny are prevalent throughout the show - you won't be disappointed.

If you haven't been watching The Flash, you need to change that! Like a literal bolt of lighting emerging from clear skies, The Flash has action, humor, great characters, and most importantly heart. It simply is one of the most fun shows on TV right now. And it looks even better on Blu-ray!! Pick up a copy if you can and enjoy!

Huge superhero fan girl!!!! And this is by far one of the best new shows on tv. The CW is doing so much right by capitalizing on the DC universe. And where else would I buy the season but Best Buy they price match and usually already have the best deal plus I get points for something I was planning on buying anyways. Total Deal!

This TV remake of the comic book super hero is faithful to the genre and to the story line that made it famous. The use of modern special effects (CGI) also places it head and shoulders over the first TV series. It is a kick to see the actor who played the Flash in the first series as the father of the Flash in this one.

The Flash is perhaps the most comic booky of all the super hero shows. It somehow manages to have elements from the comic while not having the show be stuck to the continuity of the comics. The cast is great. For a CW show, the special effects are very good. It is better than Arrow and far better than season one of Gotham.

Having watched Smallville, Arrow, and Supergirl, I was very interested in seeing DC's newest take on the Flash. I was not disappointed. This season is packed with great action and storylines while building the backstory for the characters. All in all, a great buy for those who like superhero shows.

Great first season of The Flash. Picture and sound quality are top notch. I wish Grant Gustin would have been chosen to be The Flash in the upcoming Justice League movie to keep some continuity in the DC universe, but who am I, I'm just a fan. If you like The Flash, you won't be disappointed with this box set.

DC isn't marvel to me by any means, but they are on the verge of making their own huge superhero world come to life. Flash is a personal favorite hero of mine, and it's amazing to see it come to life finally. Just wish the shows weren't with CW, imagine a netlfic deal. A+ show regardless.

It's the Flash, so that is all that needs to be said, lol. Seriously, I love this series, almost as much as the Arrow. To be able to get the first season on Blu-Ray WITH HD Digital Download for less than $20 is just a steal. I highly recommend this to anyone that is a Flash or DC fan :)

DC has hit gold with The Flash. This show is easy to jump into for new comers, but also has lots of fun subtle nods to fans of the comics. The relationships between characters develop in interesting and unexpected ways. This is a great show for any fans of Arrow and fans of super heroes in general.

This show kick major butt!! Its the best hero TV show on air! Period! Do not think about getting because this one of the best TV show ever on TV and great special effects!! The show is so engaging and exciting that you will be hooked from the first episode! BUY IT NOW! Highly recommended! A++++

The Flash is one of best shows on TV. It's definitely the best of all the superhero shows and one Flash crossover on Supergirl renewed Supergirl for season. The show is very fun with a likable cast and characters. Pick this up next time it's on sale I don't think you'll be disappointed.

This is a very fun show to watch. Nice to finally see some attention dedicated to The Flash and the CW does not disappoint. It is entertaining and enjoyable getting to see all of The Flash villains in action and explained. Awesome graphics of The Flash running. Highly recommended!
