Season 1 of the FLASH is one of the BEST First Seasons of any TV show...EVER. It's a great show for the family, too. Unlike Arrow, which can be too dark for kids, The Flash is funny, caring, and Barry tends to cry more than other super heroes. Of course he's powerful, but they have a very well-rounded character in Barry Allen. You'll definitely enjoy watching this show. And owning it allows you to watch it a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th time, even when your internet is down and Netflix is buffering.

I was really apprehensive about watching the Flash due to me thinking it couldn't be near as good as Arrow. Arrow is such a dark show, and I though the Flash would just be a joke. Oh how wrong I was. This show is has a very high intensity that keeps you on the edge of your seat. I just could not stop watching. It sucks you in and consumes you until the end. It has become one of my favorite shows, and I recommend it to anyone looking for an action packed show that involves a good storyline and emotion.

I enjoyed watching the first season and will continue watching the rest.

Ok. I will admit I am a huge fan of the flash. Loved the comics and loved the 90s tv show. The new flash show has something for everyone. Great stories. Good cast. And for those who have seen the 90s show it is great because some of the actors are in it. And those who are fans of the comics will really enjoy all the easter eggs. And for those who don't know a thing about the flash I would recommend watching this show. The first season of this show is great from the first episode. Can't say enough.

I grew up with the animated version of the flash in The Justice league of America. After watching the arrow, the first two seasons, I really had high hopes for the show. I was really pleased with how the show turned out. I expected horrible graphics being used to show how fast the flash runs or just horrible graphics in general throughout the show. The CW has really outdone themselves I absolutely love the show and am currently watching the second season and not disappointed with it either.

Many comic book television series have come and gone and the Flash is the one the trumps them all. Not only are the stories engaging, but the acting is top notch. The actors and actresses make you believe the emotions they are going through making this show a definitive television series for all those that are looking for something with a bit of everything. Of course, the show isn't only dramatic, but it too is hilariously comical. Make sure to catch the show as soon as possible!

If you havent seen The Flash by now then you're missing out on the greatest first season of television ever. I was able to grab this on sale and even if it wasn't on sale it would be well worth the price. The bonus are geat and not lacking like most of the first season sets out there. From episode to episode it is filled with action, drama, and comedy and it all flows beautifully. Recommend this 100% for anyone, even if your not usually a superhero kind of person.

What can I say, I think the new CW Flash show is pretty great. There's a lot of science and fun in the melodrama which makes it worth the watch. The bluray is a great deal for the digital hd and the hard copy, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for something a little more fun and light hearted than the CW Arrow show. Add in the fact that Barry's dad Henry is the actor from the old Flash TV show, and you've got some fun meta-storylines going on.

If you are a fan of comic book heroes brought to life, and appreciate good sfory telling, this series is worth enjoying. Many of us are unable to watch TV on a consistent basis, so I am personally appreciative of the ability to follow the series on Dvd. This series first seaaon was actually able to keep my interest from episode to episode. The acting is quite good, and the characters are performed well enough that the viewer becomes concerned for their well-being. Special effects are enjoyable and enhance the story line rather than becoming the primary focus of the show. The transfer and quality of the bluray was good. Throughout, I did not experience any issues with playback, something that has happened with other series. The extras were nice, but I would have enjoyed more actor commentary of various episodes.

I bought this on a whim, having seen part of one episode. I never have read any "Flash" comic books, but really enjoy the actors in the show and the chemistry they share. Tom Cavanagh's character seems "out of character" for him, but he does the part very well. We really enjoyed him in the TV series "Ed" so this is a departure for him from that. Anyway, for the most part it is PG rated entertainment which is harder and harder to find these days.

It hits the ground running and never lets up. The FLash is just fantastic mixing DC lore with great foes (Wentworth Miller as Captain Cold, Mark Hamil as the Trickster), amazing FX like Grodd and a stunning storyline packed with twists and turns. The extras flesh it out to show how the series came together and deleted scenes adding more thrust to the saga. Buy and enjoy comic book action and drama done right and a highlight of the CW's recent great run.

While Marvel Comics continue to dominate the big screen, many DC properties have always been well adapted on TV - from the Batman/Superman/Justice League animated series of the past 20 years to Smallville, Arrow and The Flash now carry on that fine tradition of live action interpretation of DC characters that we all love and grew up with. The end of each episode makes you wanting to watch the next episode and likewise for the end of each season!

Anyone that enjoys superheroes, comics, or action movies shouldn't skip on CW's The Flash series. After being pulled in by Arrow I started watching this show as well. The tone is so much fun and optimistic compared to Arrow or Gotham. The colors are bright and the action is so wll done. Grant Gustin does an excellent job bringing his version of Barry Allen to TV. There's tons of fun Easter eggs for comics nerds and just great fun for a casual viewer.

The Flash is a show that really surprised me. I'm not a fan of the character and only started watching the show because I'm a fan of Arrow. So I was shocked by how much I like the show. The story, characters, and acting are really good and the effects are mostly very well done. The bluray comes with the entire first season and some pretty cool special features, and the video and sound quality are amazing. Highly recommended.

When I saw this item on sale for such an awesome price, I knew I needed to buy it! This is just a very well done show. Grant Gustin does an excellent job as both The Flash and Barry Allen, and the rest of the cast is just as good. I love the fact that the comic book characters I grew up with can come to the small screen with such movie quality special effects. Definitely get it in Blu Ray...loving the HD.

Growing up reading The Flash comic books in the Sixties, and then watching this show (I also watched the only season of the original Flash series in the 90's), I can't help but notice the changes that have been written in along the way. It is a different Flash, but also a more inclusive story. I can't recall many non-white characters in the Sixties comics, and I'm glad the modern rendition reflects a broader world. The character himself has morphed from muscular to stick thin, and in the third season, it looks as if Barry's suit is getting looser, (I hope Grant Gustin is not sick.) I think for a show with a Television budget they have done a very good job of maintaining quality stories and effects. In all I give it four stars.

The Flash Season 1 is an entertaining show that fully embraces the qualities of Silver Age comic books, incorporating some additional content whether to modernize the series or make it appeal to a wider audience expecting grittier content. Nevertheless, the series largely maintains the fun desired from a speedster superhero, complete with colorful villains, even Grodd! The downside, as with some Warner Bros Blu-Rays, is that the navigation leaves something to be desired, with slow menu transitions. As far as I can tell, the video and audio on the Blu-Ray are high quality. I wish there were more commentary tracks, but some special features, including an extended talk with Mark Hamill (the Trickster) are entertaining.

Great deal all in ONE!! bought this with the DC Flash season 1 Blu-ray digital combo pak as well, and used my 'best buy $10 off rewards coupon', on the two.. so I got the 2 for $20. I have been a comics fan just about my whole life and The Flash is one of my favorites. This show is like a comic book come to life, great action, humor, and stories. The show is not perfect, I personally preferred the costume from the 90's show but sfx from this one are a huge improvement. Season 1 is extremely entertaining and the sale price was pretty hard to pass up.
