With the recent explosion of Superhero shows on TV & in theaters, this is a nice flashback. A lot of these shows from the 70's, 80's, 90's set the groundwork for the shows we are enjoying now. The shows now may have new leads, but they've brought in a strong supporting cast - those that were the leads in shows like this. Watching this, it takes you back to when this show was first out... lots of good memories. Solid plot, good acting, incredible sets. A blast from the past. :)

Loved the 2014 TV show The Flash with Grant Gustin, so, after finding out that Barry's dad in that show was the ORIGINAL FLASH IN 1990 I had to get it - plus it was $10 FOR A COMPLETE SERIES!! Biggest pull-away on this, the show was amazing!! Why it didn't get a second season I have no idea. It being 1990 when this came out, it feels like it was trying to emulate Tim Burton's Batman in tone and look, or at least that's the Vibe I get from the opening credits. Totally recommend this to any DC Universe fan!!

Series is definitely dated but pretty decent overall. Have not seen this since it first aired. I originally purchased it for my grandkids but after recently viewing the pilot episode online before I actually gave it to them I decided it was too mature for their ages. Several scenes with mature adult content that really is not for young kids; the Batman TV series is much better for kids. Quality of the discs was good. Paid under ten bucks for it which is worth it.

I watched this series years ago when it first aired. I forgot about it. I found myself searching through the discount DVD bin and discovered this jem. I had to have it realizing The Flash on CW incorporated John Shipp, who plays Barry Allen's father on the series, was the original Flash. Mind Blown. I love it when characters reprise their roles. It brings an authenticity to the series. Unlike when a series replaces an actor...Aunt Viv is that you?

When it originally came on in 1990, The Flash was one of my favorite TV shows. Show was definitely influenced by the 1989 Batman movie... right down to the Danny Elfman theme song. While it is a little campy occasionally, it holds up amazingly well. One of the great treasures of this show is Mark Hamill's Trickster, without whom we would not have Hamill's amazing Joker from Batman the Animated Series.

I own the new Flash on blu ray, but when I saw this set at the sale bin at Best Buy, I couldn't pass it up. Sure the special effects may be outdated by today's standards, but this short-lived series is still fun to watch. Too bad it didn't get the following it deserved back in the day. But pitting it against the Simpson's or the Cosby show at the time, seriously hurt its ratings. I' m happy to add this to my collection.

This is a nice set of the complete (old) Flash series. The audio/video quality isn't incredible, but it's to be expected from a TV show that was shot/mastered on tape vs actual film and also only presented on DVD instead of the HD shows we're all accustomed to watching now. If you're a fan of this series, the set is worth picking up, especially for the low price tag.

I remembered the series somewhat back in the 90s. VFX has come a long way since the 90s compared to the current series. I bought the 90s series for a great price at Best Buy.

A great blast from the past. Don't know why this fun little show got the axe so soon, it's pretty sweet. Great cast, plenty of reference to the comics stories, and fine vfx for the time. I had picked this up many moons ago, and was one of the lucky winners of those sets with a bad disc#1. So this inexpensive second try was a cool find. All discs ok.

This version of the Flash is fun to watch. It's visual effects is the best they could be for the nineties, the costume has way to many muscle enhancements and the villans acting for the most part is horrible. Mark Hamill going from Luke Skywalker to the Trickster the main bad guy through the series is just hard to watch, yet you can't look away. It's worth buying for the price.

Yes, this is going back in time to the original Flash. The cast and effects make viewing very enjoyable because you see more of the story line and the cast had to act out their parts and participate in the special effects, not the character generated stuff now-a-days. Comparing this version of Flash to the one out now will be very interesting.

If you were a fan of the original Flash tv series then this is for you. Just like Lois & Clark the new adventure's of superman it brings back so many memories. The costume is kinda ridiculous but the effects were good for the day. They bring in some great villains but keep in mind it is cheesy but in a good way. A must for any flash fan or DC fan

I have been watching this show with my son. We were watching the new flash and he was curious about the old one. He got this one for Cristmas. We found that a lot of people in this series were in or make cameos in the new version. Overall if you can put up with some of the 90s, this is worth the watch.

Definitely a must-have if you're a fan of the Flash, (this is from the CBS series in the 90's) and it's awesome to think that this is now an alternate Earth version as incorporated to the storyline of the new CW series (if you recall Barry seeing him during one of his travels through the Speed Force!) :)

Everything about the series The Flash was always my favorite dc superhero as a kid, and it premiered the year i was born 1990.

The original is good, the newer version from today kicks its butt but I like to go back at times to a simpler way of life!

It's not the best show, but the aesthetics and the guest stars make it worth a look, for dedicated superhero fans. Mark Hamil shows up in two episodes as The Trickster, and he lays almost all of the groundwork for Jim Carrey's performance as The Riddler a few years later in Batman Forever. It's astonishing.

The series was cheesy then and still is today. That's why I loved it. Me and a bunch of friends sat down and watched them all as a marathon and had a blast. Brought back good times. I highly recommend watching this. It is awesome. Needs more extras on it though. Like interviews of where the actors are now or something.

I use to watch this TV show when it was on TV. I was happy to learn that it came out on DVD as I did not find it online. I have been a Flash fan since this show aired. I have seen the Smallville version of the character and now watch with my kids the new TV Show that is currently on TV.
