I am the type of person that is entrepreneurial, so seeing how Ray Kroc franchises the McDonald's empire, albeit at the expense of the real McDonald's I still was left impressed with Kroc's hustling mentality. Michael Keaton's career is definitely revived, and this film continues to be a testament to that latter statement.

This isn't an action movie, there is a lot of dialogue. But it offers a glimpse into the life of the man who used his wit and business acumen to build one of the biggest empires in the world. It was very fascinating to me coming from a business background. The movie also has a digital copy that can be redeemed.

I really enjoyed watching this film. Being a former McDonald's employee way back in high school I knew some details about McDonald's beginning. This film was very informative and eye opening. It did kept my interest from start to finish. Keep in mind this is not a little kid film, that is until it has a television version. Michael Keaton as usual does not disappoint. Great supporting cast as well.

When I saw the trailer for The Founder. I had to go out and purchase it. And it didn't disappoint. Great performances by the cast, great writing and directing, all of this, makes the perfect recipe for a great movie. The movie shows how McDonalds went from a small chain on the west coast to a huge corporation.

Balanced. Just a few minor factual issues are off; it does not detract from the story. Drew on info from one of the McDonalds' grandsons not previously known. McDonald's "Founder" Ray Kroc was truly driven. Did the McDonald brothers get a fair deal? Let the viewer decide. Not a "feel good" movie; complex.

I enjoyed this movie a lot. It was an interesting story about the creation of McDonalds that i did not know. While I did feel compassion for the original founders, they where so rigid that part of me thinks without ray doing what he did, we would not have McDonalds everywhere, surely not the Big Mac :).

THE FOUNDER finally fills its viewers in on the factual history of McDonald's and those who were involved in it from the very beginning. I was always curious about who really founded this hamburger chain, and now I know that it was not all fun and games. Business can be hard to swallow, when ethics are ignored. Watch this fascinating film and decide for yourself.

this was a great movie about the complex struggle between creativity and persistence...simple persistence........when they harmonize ....great things occur ....when these things oppose.....history gets made......this movie is about that history...michael keaton....BRILLIANT!

This movie tells the story that you don't know. Entertaining and informative. Support DVD'S and BLU-RAYS!! Buy them at Best Buy and Support 3D!! DON'T let the studios tell you that you have to stream!! That gives them power over what you watch and you never own the video!

Keaton should have won the Oscar for this incredible, killer performance as Ray Croc. He is layered, complicated, aggravating, inspiring, and infuriating all at once. It's a shame this film got so overlooked in theaters, because it is truly an exceptionally entertaining modern bio pic. A must own for fans of great performances.

Great storytelling, quality acting, compelling and entertaining. I've watched the movie more than once. It's the kind of story that draws you in...you can't help but feel the struggles and tragedies that occur along with the tremendous business success.

GREAT MOVIE ! The history and true story of how McDonald's started and was taken away and transformed into the Magachain it is today. True set recreations of original stores , etc. Michael Keaton puts in a great performance as the one and only Ray Kroc.

A year later, he bought the business from Dick and Mac McDonald for $2.7 million. Not much, considering mcdonalds is worth billions now. Great acting from Michael keaton. The man in real life, was a real jurk. I felt sorry for the McDonald brothers!

From start to finish, this film keeps you engaged, never letting go. Well thought out from both a technical and narrative perspective. Keaton is stellar as Ray Kroc with a supporting cast that shines just as bright. Highly recommended! :)

Really great movie for a chill movie night. Entertaining without serious drama. No violence. Really enjoyable!!!

Absolutely fascinating rendering of how Ray Kroc (nicely portrayed by Michael Keaton) became the leader of the McDonalds' empire and how the actual original founders were essentially tossed aside when they posed a roadblock to Kroc's plans.

This was a surprisingly good movie! Had thought this was going to be more of a documentary, and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. I think ever business student in America should see this movie, as well. Some great lessons in it.

This movie I enjoyed watching. It not just a movie of how McDonald’s came to be but its a movie about greed,loyalty,betrayal and it raises the question of what profits a man if he gains the whole world but Forfeit their soul...

Recommended by a friend, I bought this not knowing what to expect. The movie was superb and hopefully depicts an accurate story of how Ray Kroc took the McDonalds franchise from under the McDonald brothers. Highly recommended!

If you ever ate at a McDonald's and wondered how did all of the McDonald's world wide come to be - this is the explanation. It recreates the headbutting of two different ways to operate and grow a business. Solid performances.
