I remembered the headlines back in the '80s but never realized how close Gary Hart was to becoming the Democratic Nominee for President. Movie was very entertaining.

I’m normally a Hugh Jackman fan, but his acting just wasn’t good in this movie. Also, his haircut/wig was so bad that it was distracting. If you want to see a good movie with Hugh in it, watch Greatest Showman instead.

Hugh jackman plays Gary Hart, former senator of Colorado, becomes the front-runner for the Democratic presidential nomination in 1987. Hart's intelligence, charisma and idealism makes him popular with young voters, leaving him with a seemingly clear path to the White House. All that comes crashing down when allegations of an extramarital affair surface in the media, forcing the candidate to address a scandal that threatens to derail his campaign and personal life.

Aside from some good strong performances from the actors, the movie was disappointing despite the amount of talent involved.
