I really enjoyed the movie. Action pack a must see.

The movie starts off in a weird place with Daniel Craig. The overall story was interesting. The Rooney Mara character was the most interesting. It was an ok movie to watch but nothing blew me away to make it a truly great movie.

Disgraced journalist Mikael Blomkvist (Daniel Craig) accepts an invitation to surreptitiously investigate a forty year old unsolved murder on behalf of the victim's uncle, Swedish industrialist Henrik Vanger (Christopher Plummer). Meanwhile, tattooed hacker Lisbeth Salander (Rooney Mara), hired to investigate Blomkvist, discovers the truth behind the conspiracy that led to his fall from grace. Thrown together by fate, the unlikely duo uncovers a secret history of murder and sexual abuse festering beneath the veneer of Sweden's industrial past, all the while drawing closer to a quiet evil waiting to engulf them both.

Wow. This film is mesmerizing. There was not a single sub-par performance by the actors, the settings were dark and beautifully shot, and although the swedish film came before it and was a good flick, this version manages to draw you in to the case in an even deeper and personal way. The cover art of the BluRay is minimalist and beautiful. I would, however, try to pick this one up in-store, as I noticed some of the slip cases were lightly damaged (due to the fact that the outside is a thick cardboard-like material, probably easily scuffed up in the factory). If you aren't OCD about your movies, It shouldn't be enough to bother you, but just a heads up.

This is a great murder mystery suspense thriller movie and Daniel Craig who played as one of the James Bond a couple years ago does a great job in this movie..

Really enjoyed this movie. And it can be watched more than once. You almost need to take notes at the beginning of the movie though.

As a long-time fan of David Fincher's work, I'm not surprised to find this rendition of the Scandinavian original to be thoroughly worth its salt. This version synthesizes elements from the 1st & 2nd of the original trilogy & adds its own elements. Suspenseful & creepy, it stands up well with Fincher's body of noirish thrillers. The only thing that stuck in my craw was the totally useless & abrasive title sequence.

I made this purchase after finding it at great price for $9..99. I could not pass up the opportunity. This film is worth of a movie night with popcorn. It is a little long but nevertheless a good film. Daniel Craig does an absolute great job and Rooney Mara is phenomenal. The bonus extra features are my favorite as I love to learn about the making the movie. I hope who reads enjoys the blu ray.

Knowing this was to be made in the States a year in advance. I rented the Swedish versions first. Thought it was great, subtitles and all. This version from director David Fincher ( Se7en) was no slouch either. Pulling you in the story quickly with that awesome opening credit sequence. Great cast, with great suspense in tow. A worthwhile remake, even if you've never seen the other one.

Not as good as the original foreign language versions but still a decent movie
