Hollywood always tries to remake great foreign films and I can understand it since some people will not go to a movie with subtitles. This is a very good remake but the original with Noomi Rapace and Michael Nyquist is superb. However, it you can't stand subtitles, better to see this version than to miss it completely.

I watched this movie at my local theatre when it first premiered.... I'm an avid fan of David Fincher movies (who is the director)..... As usual, his direction is in a league of its own & additionally, I found the acting to be superb...... FYI: I also recommend that you purchase Fincher's newest movie when it comes to video titled GONE GIRL

Best Fincher film yet. Subtle, yet blatantly brutal. Rooney Mara is so underrated. Best performance of that year. Craig is very un-Bond and cerebral and does a brilliant job at it. Amusingly, he's in the traditionally female role and Mara has the male role. This is a detective duo I would love to see again... waiting for the sequel.

To slow. It was only ok if you need to kill a couple hours it ok

I absolutely loved this movie. Another movie I waited too long to see. Everything about this movie had me captivated. Daniel Craig is an awesome actor the girl in it with him was awesome. She played her role big time. This movie has plenty of drama... action... suspense... twist... A must watch movie

I've read the books and this interpretation was perfect! It captured the great characters, the drama and the unique history which all culminates into an unexpected and spectacular conclusion. It is a great experience!

Finally watched it and was treated to the best movie I've seen all year. Craig is consistently very good in my book but Rooney Mara's performance is exceptional. A treat of art and intensity usually missing from the commercial film industry. Worth watching again.

The movie is extremely well made, however, it has some very graphic content, which I had to fast forward through. The special features are truly special. If you are interested in the movie making process, this 3 disc pack is like attending a film conference in art of movie making.

If I hadn’t read the book before seeing the movie it would probably have 5 stars. I understand that you can’t fit everything from the book into the movie, but there were some things I would have liked to have seen.

An excellent mystery that demands social outcasts deserve respect and many in high places do not. Even though this format has been done many, many times this one is different and should be seen by anyone who loves a good mystery!

After reading all three of the books in this series I was anxious to see the film. Naturally, they take some artistic license with the film, but they do a nice job. Well worth the price..

It's a Fincher movie, so you know you're in good hands. I'd say don't bother with the other versions of this story but I haven't seen them. I just know Fincher is in a class of his own when it comes to suspense.

I was really impressed by this movie. The art direction and the director did a great job with the source material. The blu ray is impressive and looks just as good as a 4K disc ,This is a great buy .

A cold case is revisited by a reporter and unorthodox investigator. The movie is dark and disturbing and it is an unforgettable experience. The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo deserves its sequels, so what is taking so long?

While I could not get into the book at all, I love this movie. I couldn't wait for the price to come down so I could buy it. I was excited to watch it again with my husband who also enjoyed it. Hope they make the other books into movies.

Another great Fincher film and although a remake, fresh enough with a great Lizbeth and the always great Mr. Craig. Wish they finished the Millennium Trilogy with this cast and crew since this was a near perfect debut.
