It's the Godfather, you already know it's good. That being said, the movies in 4k do look quite nice.

It's been a long time coming, and it was well worth the wait. For its 50th Anniversary, Francis Ford Coppola and Paramount Pictures have teamed up to release Coppola's iconic crime epic (and its two sequels) on the 4K UHD format. Each film has been given a 4K restoration and the results are nothing short of breathtaking. Gone is the over-saturated colors of the otherwise fine 2008 blu-ray set, replaced with a more balanced color spectrum that is rich in detail. For the audio, the 5.1 TrueHD tracks from the previous edition has been used here as well. It gets the job done. As a bonus, the original mono tracks for the first two films have also been included, which is very welcome. In addition, there are two bonus discs: one for the supplements old and new and the other for the two previous versions of "Godfather Part III" from 1990 and 1991. As for the films themselves? You really need me to tell you about those? I will say this much: Coppola's revised cut of the third film, the 2020 "Coda" edition, helps the film tremendously. There are a couple of bits missing that I wish Coppola had kept in, but that is what that second bonus disc with the other two cuts is for. This is easily the best UHD release of the year. As a lifelong Godfather fanatic, I seriously doubt I'll see anything better released on the market this year...unless Coppola surprises us with a 4K edition of "The Complete Saga."

The movies are all time classics and the 4K discs are stunning. Well worth purchase price. I only wish the packaging had been a little more substantial.

Good 4k transfer of The Godfather trilogy. Looks very nice. The packaging could be better/sturdier though. It’s a bit dissapointing on that end.

The Godfather trilogy in stunning 4K!! It's about time. These classic films have never looked better. The Godfather released in 1972 as a 50 year anniversary release is one of the greatest films of all time and one of my all time favorites and the 4K picture is simply awesome for the age of the film. The Godfather Part II is the greatest sequel of all time and also one of my favorite films and also features an excellent 4K picture. The third Godfather film is the re-edited Mario Puzo's The Godfather Coda: The Death of Michael Corleone. It is a better version of the final film and is generally pretty good, but it is my least favorite film of the trilogy. It also features an excellent 4K picture. The original 1990 cut of the film The Godfather Part III is included in this set. For fans of these films, this 50 year anniversary 4K set is definitely a worthwhile purchase. You won't be disappointed.

Outstanding set of the Godfather Trilogy! I cannot tell you enough on how good it looks now. It is amazing and even the sound is superb. If you have never owned this set before, I HIGHLY recommend picking this one up! This is just the 4K disc set and includes the Digital copy. Each movie is housed in its own fold out sleeve, which is really nicely done. Artwork on each, of course. In total, this is a 5 Disc set. The Bonus features foldout has The Godfather part III 4K and a Blu-ray of special features. A nicely done set, overall and the best it is ever going to look, in my opinion. Find a good price for this one and get it soon!

I originally bought the collector’s edition, but it arrived damaged. Thankfully I was able to return it and decided to get the standard edition instead. I prefer it now instead. While the collector’s edition looks nice, I probably wasn’t going to hang the prints and the book would be nice to look at but realistically how many times am I going to pull it out and thumb through it again? Plus the standard edition is not as bulky and I like the the individual cases and artwork on them. The movies of course look absolutely fantastic on 4K, and look better than they ever have before.

4 stars only because the packaging came upside down

The Godfather Trilogy doesn’t need to be spoke about, but the 50th anniversary 4K presentation does. It is truly a step up from the quality that we have seen from the bluray. This standard edition of the 4K release is all you need. There is no reason to buy the deluxe edition because it gives you a minimalistic book, a couple of prints, and and cardboard disc holders. This standard version gives each movie its own case and it feels like it has more love. This version is great to celebrate the anniversary.

i never wanted to watch this movie, it never caught my attention at all. it took me years just for me to get a little bit curious so i bought it and gave it a shot and man oh man do i have to say these movies are a masterful piece of work on all ends! i still havent finished the third one cuz it was a bit boring and bad but that's because i am trying to watch the original part not the CODA part these movies are definitely worth the pick up

Hands down this is the best way to see The Godfather in 4K. This is my favorite gangster movie of all time. Marlon Brando & Al Pacino & the rest of the cast give great performances. The Godfather 2 I would say is better than the first movie & with Robert de Nero playing young Vitto gives an outstanding performance. Pacino & De Nero are my two favorite actors. I was very disappointed with part 3 however I had to get the collection.

These are incredible 4k transfers. Paramount really went all out to get these looking the best they've ever looked. I wish they would have done a little more with the packaging, maybe a steelbook set or a little sturdier boxset. On the bright side, each disc has its own slot and no cardboard sleeves. Paramount is quickly becoming the top studio for 4k upgrades. Keep doing great work, The Godfather series has never looked better

The Godfather trilogy has never looked better. I’ve seen these movies in DVD, blu-ray, and now 4K UHD. 4K blows the other formats out do the water. The picture quality is excellent, and you would never know you’re watching a 50-year-old movie if you didn’t know the release date. This is a must-own box- set for anyone who wants to own a classic trilogy of movies.

I mean, come on. It's a classic of American cinema. The good news is this appears to include BOTH versions of part III: The Godfather, Part III and Mario Puzo's Godfather: Coda: The Death of Michael Corloene. So, whichever version you prefer, it appears the digital copies include them (though, it does not include the Godfather Saga, which is told in a different chronological order).

I had never seen the Godfather before but I have always heard great things. It’s a bit long and slowly placed but it’s still good (I have only watched the first movie thus far). The restoration and 4K Dolby Vision looks incredible for the majority of the movie (there are some scenes that get too dark) especially for a movie this old.

This 4k Blu Ray trilogy box set is top quality release that these movies deserve. The image quality is beautiful and the best way to experience is a high quality TV when you are able to acquire these items to watch these movies do yourself a favor and go for it because these movies are timeless and if you're a movie buff then they should be in your collection.

These films are iconic, and no more needs to be said on that front. The transfers are outstanding and the best The Godfather films have ever looked on home video. The packaging is a bit weak, but ultimately you’re picking up this set for the films, not the packaging. In summary: a must own collection for any serious video library. “Leave your money, take the 4K discs.”

This is a good set if you're looking to buy this trilogy for the first time or upgrade from Blu-Ray/DVD. However, it's not perfect. I will say the picture and sound are GREAT, and there's a lot of great bonus features. Also, I know it's kind of expected these days, but it's nice to finally get a digital copy of these. This set also includes the two previous versions of Part III, if you prefer either of those. Unfortunately, the packaging is cheap. The 3 main discs come in those folding cardboard slips. The bonus discs do as well, and the discs are all stacked on top of each other. Considering the normal sales price of this set, I expected better. TL;DR -Great 4k picture and sound, good bonus features and original Part III. Cheap, but functional packaging.
