Early German expressionist horror

Flawed/dated creature design hampers presentation

The image for a film of this vintage is astounding and the music is perfect accompaniment. Production design, costumes and direction are outstanding. The design of the monster hampers its effectiveness and it's hard to make a judgement on the acting as a result, but if you're a silent film fan, you have to see it at least once. I'm glad to have this edition.
