Best disc issue yet…by far! Replace whatever you have with this…if you can find it. I’m a Leone fanatic and this is by far the best release. Praying for a Once Upon…West and Once Upon…America 4K packages as lovingly made as this. Not holding my breath.

    Postmodern Classic

All civilizations are founded on a need to keep violence and immorality at bay. This truth is the bedrock of Sergio Leone's masterpiece, "The Good, the Bad, And The Ugly". Drawing on medieval allegory, he personifies this struggle in the guise of three characters who represent, greed, amorality, and pragmatism. The Blu-ray transfer is impeccable, and Ennio Morricone's matchless score sounds better than ever.

This version is the best representation of the film on 4k blu ray so far. It worth the price. Addition to the special feature that carried over from other releases, this is up there. Only down part the 2003 restoration extended edition is missing in 4k. But maybe soon.

In the epic final chapter, as the title of this movie suggests, we get a final showdown from the 3 main characters of this movie. But the buildup leading up to this epic showdown is what makes this movie worth watching.

My gf watching this movie said: "WOW, why does it like that? it's like coming out of the screen!" Hahaha, I guess what she meant to say is that the PQ is awesome! better than I expected. I highly recommend this 4K. Classic Eastwood, folks. This is A Must have.

One of the best classics of any genre. Its Clint Eastwood in his prime, this movie is long but it is a must watch. Its full of action and comedy which is always a nice combo. The 4K restoration is nice and definitely worth a buy if you like westerns

This film is an absolute classic and restoration work that KL Did on this masterpiece is pretty phenomenal. It’s unfortunate that it lacks any type of HDR but the movie is so good and everything else is so great that I am willing to give that a pass

Classic movies in 4K are really a treat. You've seen them several times but the incredible clarity of the picture allows you to see details you missed before and the pumped up sound restores the 'seeing it a movie theater' feel that we all love.

Best this western classic has looked on home video bar none. Just wish it had HDR, but alas I am sure kino as a small distributor did the best they could without being able to afford an expensive HDR color grade restoration.

Finally, The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly gets the deluxe HD treatment befitting its iconic status; the excessive edge enhancement of the first Blu-ray version is now gone, resulting in a more life-like, textured image, and Fox/MGM has tossed in some great bonus features.

The movie tells of war, scams, greed .Each man has his own agenda to accomplish. Also betrayal also is shown and believe it or not some forgiveness. Good war scenes but true battles over much of nothing. Men really died over a bridge that clint just blows up. The three men in the circle at the end was classic stare down drama

The packaging is pretty basic, but the transfer preserves the epic scope in both the sweeping landscapes and the unique and engaging soundtrack. I wouldn't pay more than I did, which was five dollars, because like I said, the packaging is basic. But I'm glad the transfer was done well!

The film itself is s 5 star film, but the new restored version is a bit different than what I was use to. The dvd and first bluray version has wide array of colors and so does this one except for the fact that the image looks rather yellow tinted. Instead of looking new and prestine, it looks as if the image has faded badly over time. Maybe that's how it was suppose to be in the first place, but it's not the same image as I've seen before. Even so, it's a good transfer with great sound and features to go along with it.

This is a very long movie. This movie set Clint Eastwood career. Tuko was tremendous in this movie as well as van cleaf playing the bad guy. Love the music in this movie and best ending in any western including for a few dollars more and fist full of dollars

Kino Lorber continues the great work. Best home video edition of this movie by a long shot. Packed with extras. Reversible classic sleeve artwork instead of the photoshop travesty of previous editions. You can be proud to put it on your shelf.

Right up there with Once Upon a Time in the West. I prefer this one a little more because I'm more of an Eastwood fan over Bronson but not by much. I've watched it countless times on Netflix and jumped on this Blu Ray when I saw it at Best Buy for a ridiculously low price.

The movie is great, The 4K version is OK. It looks better that the Blu-ray version by a small amount. I couldn't tell the difference in the sound quality. Unless it is on sale I would not upgrade from Blu-ray to 4K. If you own the DVD version, then by all means, upgrade to 4K.
