I’m not going to review the movie because you could find that anywhere. This Blu-ray release is awesome! The Steelbook cover is really cool. The film transfer is beautiful and perfectly displays the incredible cinematography and set designs. This release includes an audio commentary track by director Richard Donner and cast members, a making of featurette, outtake reel, a Cindy Lauper music video and theatrical trailer.

I'm addicted to buying steelbooks and this is one of my faves. Love the look of it.

Case damaged during shipment. Best Buy refuses to offer any refund or credit due to it being opened. The damage could not be seen until opened. I should be treated better than this for all the business I give. I will not be shopping here any further if not addressed fairly. I purchased the movie again as I did not want to wait the weeks required to process the return little did I know they would do nothing for me anyways.

This movie came out when I was 25. It is one of Steven Spielberg's movies in which he came up with the story. I have been a big fan of this movie and have owned the VHS, DVD and now the BluRay & Digital HD version. I primarily bought this for the Digital HD copy. The translation to BluRay is good considering the original was shot in 1984-5. The story line is simple; a small town in Oregon coast is being displaced for construction of a golf resort by the local wealthy family. Some of the kids, who call themselves Goonies (i.e., misfits), follow a treasure map to locate the treasure and save the town. The kids are young stars just starting out and was perfectly cast and acted. I have watched this movie with my daughter many times and will hopefully watch it with my grandchildren. I'm not a fan of the Steelbooks, but for the price I can't complain. It does have some nice extras (commentary with the cast). So, this is well worth the cost and will make a great present for kids of any age.

I am making an effort to introduce my kids to movies I liked when I was younger. The Goonies came to mind as one to try, and I was surprised to find I didn't have it in my collection yet. This Blu-ray edition was on sale at a bargain-bin price, but the audio and video quality is up there with the best back catalog titles I've seen. And the movie itself is just as much fun now as it was 30+ years ago! Side note - if you want to feel old, watch this right before or after Deadpool 2, and see Josh Brolin magically change between a teenager and a grumpy old man...

The Goonies is a movie for its place and time. In the vein of so many other great movies, the 'Us vs. Them' and 'haves vs. have-nots' themes form the basis of the story about the Goonies, a group of kids from a soon-to-be-demolished part of Oregon coastline who bond while on a treasure hunt to escape their fates. Add in pirates, criminals, booby traps, and a helpful monster, and you've got a recipe for an amazingly weird, action-packed, heart-warming tale.

The fratellis? You might of heard of them, real disgusting people. Love this movie. Classic. Still can't believe that's Thanos and the dude from No Country for Old Men. Great bluray transfer. Picture and sound is good. I'm glad to have this movie in my collection. A heartwarming, comedic adventure of a group of friends rebelling against big business and trying to save their neighborhood from getting demolished into a golf course.

This is one of my all time favorite movies!! This is a great looking steelbook as well. I love the picture on the front. And the map on the inside as well. The price was great!! The picture looks pretty awesome in HD, and the sound is great. I've only ever owned this on VHS, so this is a huge upgrade. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. Pick it up today!!

If you have never seen The Goonies then you really should. It is epic fun!! The story is adventurous and suspenseful and is serious when it comes to the scenes where Sean Astins character Mike talks of One Eyed Willie. The Blu-ray of this movie is super clean and the detail of the Steel book is great. I loved watching this movie when it would come out on tv in the 90s.

Hey you guyyssss!!! The goonies is a childhood favorite of mine. I would watch it every chance I got! When it rereleased with the steelbook, I HAD to grab it! And at a wonderful price too! If you don't have this in your collection, you should definitely grab it.

Goonies has always been one of my favorite movies so I was stoked when they released it in a steel book version. The movie came undamaged and packaged nicely. The movie itself is a classic and is great to watch. Can not go wrong with the Coonies!

this is such a fantastic movie, lots of name stars when they were young. a rocking music soundtrack by cyndi lauper. and period items like the soloflex weight machine. if you love pirates and adventure, a kid friendly movie, in disney style.

I've reviewed this movie before, just watch it for god's sake. A classic coming of age movie. I got this Steelbook only for the Digital Copy. If you don't need/want a digital copy, get the standard BlueRay and save a few dollars.

Always liked The Goonies. I was looking for the digital copy and finally found it with this copy. If you are looking to re live your childhood this is the perfect movie for you.

Its the Goonies, what can I say. I never did get the release a few years ago because I just didn't want to pay for the boardgame that came with it, But this Steelbook is nice.
