First, it's 4 discs, not 5. Second there are no chapters. Third, the first 2 discs are "best of" and the second 2 are filled with entire episodes, so there is some slight overlap. But the whole collection ia more than 13 hours and believe me it's worth it. It's amazing that, though this set is 45 years old, how human behavior and political biases haven't chaged much at all. This is both a time capsule and great entertainment , right now I'm watching a short about the frustratuion of finding a parking spot, and when the guy finds one, he's too close to the adjoining cars so he can't exit.. There's early Andy Rooney pre 60 mins, Marshall Efron giving comic lectures on "sacred auto burial grounds", how to make a lemon pie without any lemons just like the freezer variety, etc, early Michael Tilson Thomas conducting at Bershire fest, adult animation...you've never seen a collection on TV like this.
Not all gold, but that's what the FF button is for. But the vast majority is both fascinating and entertaining.

I have received great service from Best Buy. This series is just fantastic. I have been wanting to see The Great American Dream Machine since they took it off of TV in the early 70's. There is some great comedy on the dvd's plus animation. I would definitely recommend this dvd box set to anyone. I would also recommend that they buy their set from Best Buy. Best Buy gives you A+ service. Thank you very much.

I loved this show on PBS in the 70's. It's a precursor in some ways to Saturday Night Live. It's a gumbo of humor, animation, documentary, and political comment. It often featured Andy Rooney before he did 60 minutes. It's great entertainment, history, pop culture and really smart.
