This is one of the greatest American classics of all times. The cast are perfect for their parts. This is a great throw back that will keep you entertained for sure.

good movie good 4k……………………(need 50 characters)……..

I love old movies and this one is no exception love Leonardo playing not a good or bad is just good acting. The whole movie keep wondering about the end.

An exciting take on a classic story by Baz Luhrman. The costumes and sets are fantastic. The digital copy is no good as ultraviolet went out of business.

Though this is supposed to be a product rating and not a movie review, I wanted to comment on Matthew's review titled "Old Sport." as a separate review because commenting on his post would merit less views, and I don't like misconceptions. So yeah, rap probably wasn't the music Fitzgerald had in mind for Jay Gatsby's parties, but that doesn't mean that kids in school studying the novel this movie is based on won't find this movie helpful. In fact, it might be more helpful than any movie adaptation made before it, for this reason: it is largely contemporary. I think it sticks to the story quite well. It is only told differently - that is, it doesn't attempt to stiffly adhere to some notion of antiquity. It tells the story in a way people today, and probably especially those the adolescent age of students studying the book in school, will understand. Maybe jazz in the 20's evoked a feeling different from what it evokes now. And so the soundtrack used in the film expresses what the novel means (while still playing along with the Jazz Age theme, entertainingly) - lavish, badass partying, scandalous forbidden love, intense hope, for example - and isn't that what's important? I think watching this movie will enhance the understanding of anyone who reads the novel. Otherwise, whether you are studying the novel, reading it for pleasure, or not reading it at all, this is a great movie worth watching. Superb acting, gorgeous costumes for each body that appears, music that makes an impact, and brilliant retelling of a timeless story. Gorgeous.

My girlfriend had been wanting to re watch this movie. My idea of a date, movie night and pizza with cold A/C and some blankets!

This is a great adaptation of a great book the cast delivers a great performance that makes this movie such fun to watch.

Been a long enough time since I read this book in school, that seeing this well done movie of this story was new again.

Leonardo DiCaprio does a great job as Gatsby in typical fashion. A good movie that looks great in 4K.

I never got the chance to see The Great Gatsby while it was still in theaters, but as a fan of period pieces and actor Leonardo DiCaprio, I definitely wanted to check out the film once it came out on Blu-ray. I purchased the 3D combo pack from BestBuy.com and although I don't yet have a 3D TV, I was able to enjoy the film now in 2D and save the 3D viewing experience for later, once I have a new TV. The film itself is visually dazzling, and the eye candy alone is worth the purchase, but I found the plot to be a bit thing, especially for a story that is spread out over a long run time. I was able to watch the film in one sitting, but if not for the fact that I am a DiCaprio fan and for Baz Luhrman's unique visual, I am not sure that the film would have held my interest as intently. The picture quality of the Blu-ray is astonishing, and it's the kind of quality you'd show to Blu-ray skeptics who don't see what the big deal is compared to DVD. The sound quality was also very good and the film is full of surprising and interesting song choices. I haven't yet had a chance to watch the bonus features, but it appears, according to the case, that there are plenty of them to please fans of the film. All in all, The Great Gatsby is a good film that makes for a great viewing experience on Blu-ray!

In film it shows different stories of how LEO acquired his fortune. Disaster follows for loving somebody.
