Pretty lady hires adventurer to help her. Very typical plot. Acting was okay, but with a plot that is hard to follow at times.

I would recommend this to a friend

perils of gwendoline was said to one of the most expensive films to ever come from france. hmmm, how about that? the props & sets didn't look to be of a high budget to me but i still enjoyed this film anyway. the creator of emmanuelle & the story of O brought us this cute adventure in the early eighties. rather than picking up where he left off on those two films, jaeckin gives us a film with more of a jake speed or indiana jones atmosphere. tawn kitaen plays a nun who is searching for her missing father in the land of yik yak. she hires a man to lead her & a friend through the wild jungles in hopes of finding the lost father & a butterfly which is said to be extinct. if you were searching for this film, you probably already know the rest or have a basic understanding of the film. gwendoline is campy, cute, & silly all at once but it makes a great film if you are serving nachos with jalapeno velveeta sauce. have fun with this one.
