Phenomenal movie about racism and hate. Must See!!

This film is a modern day version of hood life, like a remix of Boys in Da Hood. The only difference is that it reflects the struggle between police and the Black community as well as issues Blacks face when caught between 2 worlds and feeling as if neither is ideal. All the cast were phenomenal, especially Amandla. This is one for Black History Month.

I red the reviews on this movie and I was extremely disappointed about the negativity so many people had to off. It was mostly people being upset about stereotypes. It’s heartbreaking because until you are in a black person’s shoes, how can you scream stereotype when they can’t possibly know. I made my husband and son watch this movie with me and it aloud me and my husband to prepare our son for what may or may not happen.

This is a very good film. I went to see it at the movie theater, and it was so important that I preordered it on Blu Ray as well. The acting was superb. It should have been nominated for numerous awards and received more recognition than it did. It’s a shame that great acting and movies continue to get overlooked by award shows.

This movie was released at an important time in what our history will be - and they portrayed it gracefully. There are two sides to everything and this movie really brought to light that not all situations can be "cut and dry" but that there is a moral code going unfollowed. This is a sensitive topic to take such a risk with & they did it well! Its enlightening to say the least.

Purchased this movie for my daughter to watch of how still today these topics are going on in our communities everywhere and to see it from a teenager’s perspective. Movie really made an important message to how to act/respond to law enforcement, knowing and understanding your rights, and letting your light shine to bring change in the community and world.

The Hate You Give is an exemplary exhibition of racial profiling, dehumanization and murder. Yet, the people in the community band together to be a voice their dissatisfaction all the while enriching their lives with love, lessons and living. A must see for anyone with a functioning moral compass and those who truly seek to understand the continuous struggle of POC.

Really good movie. Definitely would recommend. Spot on representation of some of problems with the justice system along with ignorance pertaining to our actions. Both sides are represented in the good and the bad. Just watch the movie it’s really good. A little messed up but it’s the ugly truth of what happens in the world.

This is my Movie of the Year! I loved everything about this movie. All of the characters had such strong roles and I loved what each of them conveyed on the screen. I have told everyone I come across to see this movie. It brings out every emotion you have inside of you.

We had wanted to see this movie in the theater but we never made it so when we could rent it on demand, we did and were definitely not disappointed. This movie is very relevant for what is happening in the world today and makes you see both sides of the picture.

This movie is riveting! I wasn’t a fan of the title, so I never bought the movie, even though I was very curious about the title. I saw it on an overseas trip and was glued to the screen! It was just a fantastic movie on all levels! A MUST buy!!!

My wife and I were not able to see this movie in our local movie theater and am happy we were able to purchase it at a good price from BestBuy and am looking forward to watching it as often as we want.

An absolutely incredible movie! My wife cried while my boys had to hold back their tears...this is a very touching movie about race and forgiveness. Incredible! I would strongly recommend!

This kind of movie gives you a lot to think about with society. Love the actor. Very dramatic and and some violence but still a good movie!

The Hate U Give" film is a reflection of current Black Lives Matter era, and hopefully the movie sheds light to the events and evokes empathy in people to have real dialogue about it.

This is a well done movie and for its content and goal a 5 but as a movie itself around a 4. Got a little too much gong on. But this is the type of movie that more white people need to expose themselves to. It has predominantly black actors and touches on current issues and the impact of our culture on race. Definitely check it out.

This movie was fantastic, this movie brought up real issues that occur to minorities everyday; I hope people can acknowledge and take a stand . I loved the entire movie.

This movie is what we as people are dealing with in this world today, where the color if your skin is how people treat you.God made people of all color.

The book was a showstopper! Could not put it down...read it in 9 hours...and that was only because I had to stop to potty, cook and clean! Better than the movie!!!!

A great movie to watch with your teenagers. I found this movie a very good teaching tool for young people. Recommend this movie to be watched more that one time.
