It's all a joke, it's all ridiculous. The absurdists might find this depressing, but they're just a bunch of narcissists, anyhow. Demanding the world make sense and give you purpose is rather self centered when it already contains toasted paninis, attractive people in bathing suits, and Euler's Identity. I say let's sit down at the bar with the rabbi, the priest, and the frog and try to get a song going. Or at least recognize that it's okay to laugh at ourselves now and again. It's not the end of the world.

The film is a fun, intriguing little nugget with lots of British flair throughout. Some very ingenious set pieces, great set designs, and well-acted roles detract from how difficult it is to transcend the source material onto the screen. The Blu-Ray extras are vast and enjoyable, and the overall picture and sound presentation is good, though DNR and grain are present. Perhaps a future 4K transfer will improve -- but until then, this is the best version of this enjoyable film to get.

Having read all the books in high school and watching the BBC series on PBS, I couldn't wait for this movie to come out. I was not disappointed. The casting and the acting are very close to what I had envisioned when reading the stories in high school. I introduced my teenage kids to the movie and they are now reading the books and love them.

This movie arrived quickly and was packaged well, with no damage. It is an old favorite of mine, but it's not everyone's cup of tea. Follow Arthur Dent as he travels the universe, following the trail of the ultimate question after Earth is destroyed!

The movie is a classic and Best Buy had it at the right price.

This is a visually entertaining movie with great special effects that are made even better by 4K. Funny movie with an interesting plot. Awesome price!

Based off the book. If youve read it, Im sure youll enjoy it. If you havent but you enjoy sci-fi or a good comedy, I still recommend it.
