The final movie to the Hobbit is a wonderful piece of work. They do a great job of finishing the story left from the previous two movies and still manage to stick fairly close to the book on who dies and who survives. Hollywood threw in the Elf / Dwarf romance which wasn't in the book but, it was still well done and enjoyable. A must go see in my Book.

The third installment of "The Hobbit" is excellent! Granted, Peter Jackson has embellished the story a bit (quite a bit, actually), but it works! It's a great story, well told, with great acting and outstanding special effects! One of these weekends, we're going to sit down and watch all three "Hobbit" films and the entire "Lord of the Rings" trilogy!

Great grafx, great CGI, above average acting. Those who love the story line will be enthralled. Those who dont will come to know the basics of the story. Those who are indepth followers will notice several discrepencies but that happens with movies now-days. Cant go wrong with this item. The VuDu accessability is a major plus.

The Hobbit series is not without its flaws, but it is still an amazing thrill ride for the duration! The extended edition blu-rays are packed to the gills with goods. Extended sequences (obviously) and hours & hours of behind the scene documentaries. Dim the lights, throw on the film, and enjoy the epic conclusion to The Hobbit trilogy!

Great movie. You could watch and enjoy it as a stand alone film - but please don't. Great action from the moment the movie starts but not at the expense of the story. Great back story for the Lord of the Rings films. Terrific character development, superb acting, Martin Freeman is perfect as Bilbo (again). It is sad that the story is now complete.

I always loved lotr and am a super fan of Sherlock on bbc, so when I found out that Martin freeman and Benedict cumberbatch were both going to be in the hobbit movies I was already on board. This last movie is mostly epic battle (duh it's in the name) and was very enjoyable. The only things I didn't like were the way some of the one on one battles were written, as many of the main characters made awe fully stupid decisions that ultimately ended in their demise. But overall the special effects and scenery are outstanding!

I give a 5 star rating only because there is no 4.5 available. This movie was a notch below the final Lord of the Rings, but as good or better than the other Hobbit films. In addition to the usual fantasy and action, there was a solid effort at an emotional tie in that was at least partially effective. Definitely worth watching for a Hobbit fan!

A great ending to The Hobbit trilogy. The conclusion to a story of self-discovery and becoming more than what you started out to be. Standing up for your convictions even under threat of death. An epic battle against a seemingly unbeatable foe. All presented by a master film director Peter Jackson. Set in the gorgeous countryside of New Zealand.

When I saw this in theaters, I wasn't completely satisfied with the film, but after watching all three films again in the extended editions, I have a better appreciation for the storytelling and artistry of these movies. The extended cut of the last film works well; it's certainly better than I remember from watching the theatrical cut.

The one book was broken into a trilogy, so the first one was to set the background. It was kind of slow because there were a lot of dwarves and friends to set up. The second got you going. And the third was the culmination of all the action and some unexpected twists if you didn't read the book - or if you're like me, don't remember all of it.

Although this story should never have been split into 3 movies this finale has it all, great action, special effects, great characters and a battle scene that will rock your eyes and ears with the sights and sounds of it. A fitting finale to this movie trilogy and it's a movie that will only want more of Middle Earth, Silmarillion anyone?

You pay a little more for a Blu-Ray/DVD/Digital HD then just a DVD or Blu-Ray but it so worth the money for the convenience. I have not upgraded to Blu-Ray for the bedroom. So, on those lazy days I can watch the movie in bed with the DVD or hook it up with my surround system and flat screen TV in the living room and watch it with Blue-Ray.

I believe this is the best of the hobbit's three films. Must get it on blueray because regualr dvd doesnt do it justice. Its the conclusion of the three movie set and ends before the lord of the rings starts. It connects the plot line but not as good as the book of course. A few extra characters but still a must see and own it is a must.

The last of the Hobbit Trilogy is filled with excitement, action & heart. The story line continues the Tolkien books by bringing them to life. Peter Jackson's epic adds to the original story line without losing the overall feel of the Hobbit Trilogy. The acting is superb with a large cast and epic style movies that feels the big screen.

Great movie. We have bought all of the movies in this series. We use them to let the older grandkids watch when they stay over. We enjoy getting the movies that are part of a series to keep the kids interested. Then when they come back over to our house they are excited with anticipation because they want to finish the series of movies.

Having seen the first two Hobbit films, I was anxious to see the final installment ... I wasn't disappointed. I originally saw the 2D version when it was it in the theaters and now own the 3D Blu-ray. Whether in 2D or in 3D it's a great film, but in my opinion the 3D makes the experience so much better. Worth having in your collection.

I really like the price and the look of the steel book case for my movie. Customer service was quick and helpful as well. The only problem I had was who ever picked my order picked the regular movie case I brought that up to the attention of the person at the desk and he had to go back to the warehouse and get the correct movie. I would think that the movie was scanned when picked and should have sent up a red flag to the picker that it was the wrong product. Luckily I caught it because no one else did. Thanks

The Battle of the Five Armies was a beautiful finish to this series of movies. I was a little disappointed at the end but it was a major accomplishment for all of the actors, directors and producers. I can't imagine the effort that went into making these movies. The Special Features CD was informative and interesting and fun to watch.

An awesome end to The Hobbit trilogy! The battles were epic and I found myself satisfied with the conclusion to the main story and all the character's stories. Also I found the graphics looked a little better than the last one which looked really fake at times. Let us hope for more incredible adventures in Middle Earth my friends.

I really enjoyed watching this movie in the theatre...and I couldn't wait to snag it when it came out on blu-Ray. As with the LOTR blu-rays this was packed with special features. All were excellent and provided great information about the hard work involved in making these wonderful movies. This blu-Ray did not disappoint!
