While some liberties were taken from the book the final movie in the trilogy is just wonderful. The story and action due justice to the Lord of the rings triology and continue what has been some of the best movies to come out over the past 15 years

I have been a big fan of J.R.R. Tolkien since high school and I was so excited when these movies came out. I think that LTR was better but I did love this series. IF you were a fan of the books, you will definitely like this movie and the series.

This movie is just the perfect ending to the Hobbit trilogy. It is full of action but also covers several human emotions. I really enjoyed the movie again after saw it 3 times at the movie theater! Plus the UV digital copy makes the perfect combo.

Not up to par with other LotR films

I enjoyed this movie, but it just was not up to par with the other movies in the LotR series. In fact, I like the Hobbit series less than the original trilogy to begin with. I feel that the difference between actors playing orcs/Uruks in LotR and CG orcs in the Hobbit took away from the experience of the Hobbit (among other things). That said, it is still an enjoyable movie to watch.

If you liked the regular or theatrical version, then you will love this. It adds a lot of good new scenes that make the whole movie experience fresh and exciting. Most of them seem like they are during the big battle scenes - but not all.

This was a great end to the trilogy. I've been waiting for them to make the Hobbit into a movie since I heard they were making The Lord of the Rings trilogy. All of the movies have been epic and this one was no exception. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I have always loved the Hobbits and could barely wait until another movie came out. When I saw Best Buy had it, I rushed to get it. This movie is awesome and held me captive the entire time. BestBuy never fails to have the best movies available.

I loved all the LOTR movies, as I did the Hobbit series, and though this was a great movie, it's by far the weakest of the Hobbit flicks. Bilbo takes too much of a back seat in this one, and HE was one of the best things about this series.

The movie was well done and a great conclusion to the hobbit story. It also bookends well with the opening to Fellowship of the Ring. The added footage of the extended edition and the large amount of bonus features make this well worth it.

This third installment moves faster than the previous two. Actually all three should have been combined into one movie, but . . . it didn't happen. The special effects are good. It is worth seeing and owning for the next time you read The Hobbit.

The Hobbit was exciting from the start and certainly finished the same way. Peter Jackson made a wonder series of films from the book. Bilbo Baggins should have had a bigger part in this final chapter but I doubt that many will be disappointed.

What a good deal at BestBuy. 17 bucks. I was a little turned of when I opened the case to find the 3D on 2 disc’s, but when I started to watch the movie I “clearly” saw why it was on 2 discs. Picture quality is very good.

This movie is amazing! Some people think there is too much fighting and that the movie is too long but I disagree. This edition is really nice and the steel book is pretty cool. Getting blu Ray is essential for this film if you want the quality.

Absolutely love this movie. The extended version flows smoothly and unless you know where there extended scenes are.... you probably won't even notice their added. This is the perfect ending. The 3d is amazing.must have for ANY collection.

Although there are a few additions to the movie that aren't in the books it is a well made movie that pulls you into the story.I've read The Hobbit and LOTR multiple times and even though the are some difference's I thoroughly enjoyed the movie.

This wraps up the Hobbit trilogy and leads you into the Lord of the Rings series. Great action scenes and fantastic setting and scenery. good family movie for 10 and up. No slow points. Story moves briskly along. Enjoyable, a pleasure to watch

great movie and battle scenes, movie starts out where it left off when smaug goes to the city. After that the story line is alittle slow but if your a true LOTR's and Hobbit fan you enjoy the slow parts as well. You will want to buy this movie.

I give this 5 stars because it has a great closure - to a great series. For a 2 hour 24 minute movie I had some reservations, but it definitely held my interest. I look forward to re-watching the whole series when only reruns are on network TV.

A great conclussion to the series! I highly recommend this movie, as well as this package. My father enjoyed the DVD on his older entertainment system and I was able to enjoy the bluray on our newer system. Very convenient and worth the cost!

The Hobbit film series has been divisive, with some enjoying it and others loathing it. While these films are not on the same level as The Lord of the Rings, I did enjoy them. Battle of Five Armies is not the greatest movie I have ever seen, but I did really enjoy it. If you are up for a sixth and final ride to Middle Earth, you'll be satisfied. If not, then stay away!
