Am going to miss Peter Jackson's stories from middle earth. This one along with the others was exciting and what you would come to expect from him. His special effects and cgi, all make you believe these places exist!!! Great fun time.

Even though Peter Jackson was forced into making this into a trilogy, I feel he put forward his best to make this film even though there were characters and such not in the book. It is a great final chapter to this series.

I really do love the Hobbits Trilogy, this last one is the final battle and the wrath of Smaug , the ending didn't disappoint. Plenty of action, and some tear jerkers as well. In pre ordered it and was happy to finally see it March 24.

The Hobbit three-quell is an excellent movie and it caps off my collection of The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings set. I went to see the movie in the theater when I was very tired and fell asleep. Very happy to finally see what I missed.

I'm a LOTR fan, although not a superfan. For me, this movie was good, I enjoyed the action, but The opening scene was too easily dealt with in the first few minutes- almost negating any drama from the second movie. After that, the plot is meh, but the CGI and action is entertaining. I would recommend only if finishing the trilogy- this won't hook you in on its own.

If you are a Lord of the Rings fan, the Hobbit series is a must have. All three movies are great. But the battle in this movie is great. The evolution of the characters comes to the conclusion. A great movie for anyone.

I purchased this movie to complete my collection. It was a great bargain at Best Buy. I had been putting off buying it for sometime until I could get it at the best price. Love the movie. One of my favorite trilogies.

I loved this wrap up to the Hobbit movies. The story ended where it leads to the Lord Of The Rings Trilogy. The 3D presentation on this blu ray release is as expected, crystal clear and no sensationalism. Highly recommended purchase.

If you enjoyed the Hobbit trilogy, the extended edition has a good balance of new material without interruption to the flow of the story... and it is not all just extended battle scenes! 3D package nicely completes the trilogy.

If you have a chance you may want to check out the prices separately, unless you just want the box set. I saved about fifteen dollars by buying them that way, may not have all the special features, but it's about the movies.

The battle of the five armies is a perfect conclusion to the epic hobbit trilogy. It's also a great choice for movie night even if you haven't seen the other 2. My only complaint is that so far there is no 3d blu-ray extended cut trilogy set out. All 3 have been filmed in 3d and do have extended editions so I can only hope they make a nice box set sometime soon.

I have mixed feelings about the film as I just don't want them to end. It's like saying goodbye to long time friends. Having said that it was at a great price and the price match policy lowered it even more to match Amazon's price!

I have all three Hobbit movies in 3D and this one has clear quality of battle scenes and the gold is so real looking. It's a movie to enjoy time and time. The 3D is two disks but provides good chance for a break to raid the fridge.

A must have to complete Hobbit series. Good movie with great special effects and does a good job in completing the Hobbit Story. Gives good background story and prequel information to add to Lord of The Rings Triology.

I picked this up on release day as I really wanted this Steelbook edition. Solid cover art, I love that Smuag and Bard are featured. As for the actual movie I really enjoyed it in IMAX & plan on watching the bluray later tonight :D

Bought the Bluray, DVD, UV package for around 6 bucks during the winter holidays. Quality is very good and adding the UV Digital Copy to my VUDU account was super easy. This is a great addition to my Middle Earth collection!

Peter Jackson does a great job of story telling and creative usage of special effect. The whole Hobbit trilogy may not compare to LOTR (Lord of the Rings) but it's still great entertainment and will be watched over and over.

We enjoyed the movie and continuity with previous Lord of the Ring movies. Plenty of action, well acted. Special effects during a few scenes of the Orc battle were a little overreaching for realists. Otherwise, highly recommended.

Love The Lord of the rings and the Hobbit movies. For some reason did not care for this as much as the others. There were lots of great action scenes but I think I built up my expectations way too high and was not quite as impressed with this as the other movies. But I think I just need to watch it again as a marathon and see what I think! Still worth a watch!

Such a great movie. The Hobbit continues with its track of successful and entertaining movies with this one. Have already watched it a number of times and always something new I notice in the movie which adds to its appeal.
