Blu-ray picture quality and audio is excellent. 3D version is very immersive and did not exhibit any annoyances like ghosting and the like. As for a movie, a must have if you are a Lord of The Rings or Tolkien fan.

The 3D is not all that wow, but it gives more depth that I liked. The 3D seemed better on our 55 inch Samsung than in the movie theatre. Overall I liked this movie. Lots of fun.The first Hobbit film was a bit dull to me. Wayyy too much time on the dwarfs in Bilbo's house. The second was better & I think this one is the best of the three.

Because you just have to get every movie to complete the collection. And the extended versions are the ones to get. Even tho they make an already long movie longer, they are thr best way to see them.

It is the final chapter in the trilogy to bring the entire story to an end. A cold rainy day when nothing else to do watch all 3 Hobbit movies then all 3 of the Lord of The Rings and it would be a perfect lazy day.

The last of the Hobbit series movies. Does a nice job of finalizing the series and ties in the Lord of The Rings trilogy. Peter Jackson was at his best in the movie! Highly recommend this movie for all Hobbit fans.

Outstanding film. Fitting end to the Hobbit trilogy and the entire Middle Earth saga. Can't wait to see what new project Peter Jackson undertakes next! The Best Buy exclusive Metal Book jacket was a nice touch too.

Another really great movie. I still can't believe there will be no more Hobbit movies. Still I will continue to enjoy and share the movies. I have with my children and now will pass it on to my grandchildren.

In this last part we get a lot on answers that leads you to the Lord of the Rings. I love how Peter Jackson take the time to do 3 movies in 3 years to give a great view of the film and true time with the actors and the great CGI and the love he puts into a movie Thank you for that. Please enjoy and enjoy the 3 movie for years to come.

This movie was much better then the last one. I found the last one to be boring but this movie had more action in it. Overall I am a huge fan of the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit movies and I am sad to see them go.

What a beautiful movie. I can't stop saying that this movie is terrific and fantastic. I am saying from my heart that what it at least once before you die watch all it's series

I had been waiting for this extended edition to come out for quite some time. I'm very glad that I waited, as the extra 20 additional minutes in the film were worth the wait. I also really enjoy the 3-D also.

I bought this for my son so we could watch on our new 4k sony XBR75. I must admit I am not a die hard fan of this trilogy. The sound fx are fantastic, the story telling captured me and the 3d fx were icing.

Once again Peter Jackson does it. The 3rd installment of the Hobbit trilogy is just as good, if not better than the first 2 movies. Incredible score yet again by Howard Shore and visual effects again are stunning.

Looks super on the 3D TV. Considering I saw the movie at the theater and loved it, I can now see it any time I want to. Not only did it include a 3d Blu-Ray, it also included a Blu-Ray, DVD, and Digital HD copies.

gripping scenes, action, adventure, love, passion, and pain as you continue with Bilbo Baggins on the quest to reclaim the kingdom of Middle Earth; a place that represented a whole different world for our hero...

I enjoyed this movie very much, but I must admit that movies 2 and 3 only really had enough material to make one great movie. Stretching it out into 2 movies was a mistake, but the trilogy is still pretty good...

Customer service was good. The dvd was not up to its standard. Of course not was not Best Buy's fault. But I will continue to buy from you all in the future. I do also like the new release prices that Best Buy puts on their dvds. I like also that Best Buy will match other stores prices. Thank you Best Buy for the points you all give us.

I read the book. Bought the first movie and watched it, thought it was pretty good. Bought the second movie and watched it ,thought it was pretty good. The third movie came out, had to buy it to complete the set.

the hobbit p3 and the second part as well was such great film(s) on account of the way it was produced, if you look at the film(s) from afar you will see that every continual segment or scene it shows the area in which the film continues threw, such as your reading a graphic novel of a classic book that you pick up in a novelty store.

Smashing ending to the movies on The Hobbit by JRR Tolkien. Added material was excellent without distracting from the main story, plus it added extra insight to the overall story. Very happy to have this movie :)
