Peter Jackson masterfully accomplished his series finale. Extended cut was a bit too short compared to the extension of Return of the King that added nearly an hour. But I thoroughly enjoyed it!

I've been a huge fan of the book for years. The movies are definitely different than the books, but they are still fantastic. You need to watch them without expecting them to follow the book exactly.

A lot was added to the movie to make it more interesting . "The Hobbit" does not have all of the action or characters that the movie does. It is still a must for anyone that enjoys this type of story.

Blu-Ray video is superb quality, in theatrical aspect ratio, not the cable/dish 16:9. Sound is excellent. Extras really aren't my thing, so someone else will have to give a good evaluation of those.

This was the sequel that I haven't seen on widescreen and so I thought of buying the DVD 3D edition as I have a collection of the other 2 sequels. The DVD is great, effects fantastic. Great buy. . .

It was entertaining for sure. At times a bit goofy but I guess that makes the characters more loveable. It is one of those movies can be watched over and over and great movie for a movie night!

I love the LOTR Series and also this Hobbit Series. This movie goes well with the other 2 Hobbit movies with displaying great character development and picture to bring the Book (The Hobbit) to life.

Great to get the last of the Hobbit trilogy on Bluray. Extras are a wonderful bonus. Exactly what you would want in a purchase...brilliant quality movie, fun extras, money well spent.

I’ve purchased this movie when it released, but since I started a 3D collection I’ve decided to get it in 3D. 3D is not dead as long as they present it in the theaters!

Great ending to the trilogy. I have always been a great fan of the Lord of the Rings, this Hobbit trilogy was amazing. This ending movie was amazing, great action. Too bad this had to end.

This was not as good as the other movies in this series in my opinion. They were way too focused on the battle scenes in this one. It felt like one continuous battle throughout the entire movie. It seemed shallow from a story line with no depth. Don't get me wrong, it was a good movie and worth watching... once.

A visually beautiful film that closes the first Hobbit story. The special effects blend with the plot and don't overpower the storytelling. This movie is a fitting march to the Lord Of The Rings!!!

The Battle of the Five Armies packs all the punch of the previous two films into one, and then goes even further. Solid action, great storytelling, and a happy ending to boot. Not bad.

What hasn't already been said about The Hobbit? This film was no different than other of Peter Jackson's LOTR/Hobbit films. It was visually stunning, superbly acted, and a wonderful movie to watch.

I loved all three of the Hobbit movies and this one made me the most emotional. It was fun to watch and couldn't be more excited to finally own it!

This movie finishes up the story of the Hobbit exceptionally well. It ends with a perfect connection to the original Lord of the Rings film series. I was glad to have them end with the older Bilbo.

I saw it in the theatre and could not wait till it came out on DVD. it was just as intense watching it at home. Great series. I wish The Hobbit would have come out first then the Lord of the Rings.

Great movie. I love the Hobbit movies. This 3rd movie is better than #2 and #1. My one issue is Bilbo didn't play as big of a role as I thought he did in the book. But visually this movie rocks.

The last of the three Hobbit movies ended as well as could be expected, considering what happens in the source materlal. While this is the saddest of the movies, it wraps up the story pretty well.

I've seen lord of the rings during high school and seeing the hobbit years later has been a treat for my life time, I love seeing these films because they take me away to a world of fantasy
