Having seen all of the Lord of the Rings series, we also had to own the Hobbit series. Couldn't wait for the finale to come out. It was great but had a few long battle scenes. Also, some of the characters from the Lord of the Rings were too different from their original characters. Other than that - thumbs up!

Its hard to believe that this bring to close more that 10 years of LOTR and the world of Men, Elves, Hobbits, Orcs, and Wizards. A great flick with good action, effects, and an excellent score!

Excellent movie and a great ending to a great trilogy. Now I have to go back and watch ALL of the Hobbit movies, along with ALL of the Lord Of The Rings movie! Movie marathon here I come! :-D

Important insight into the Tolkien world, introducing characters that played a little known, but pivotal role around the same time as the events in Return of the King at Erebor.

Definitely not as good as Lord of the Rings but The Hobbit has some great story points and some great action as well. I've been waiting for the price to drop on this so I could finish the collection for The Hobbit trilogy and now it has. Plus you get a digital copy so how could you go wrong?

Perfect ending for The Hobbit series of films. It even ties it in with the Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring beginning with Gandalf and the now much older Bilbo Baggins. Well done.

The last entry into the Hobbit trilogy will leave you wishing for more. Peter Jackson set the bar high for this series. I feel kind of sad that the story is over. But then, one never knows....

The movie to begin with is not as good as the other movies in the series (in my opinion). The Extended Edition doesn't really add anything unless you're a really big fan like me. For the average watcher, just stick to the regular version.

The conclusion of a very well crafted story, with superb special efx and outstanding cinematography. Makes Tolkien's prelude to the Ring Trilogy a must see for SF & F enthusiasts.

It was great to get digit copy days before the movie was released. Blu Ray version is fantastic. It looked and sounded great. The packaging allows it to look unique within my movie collection.

I've always enjoyed the Hobbit movies. This was the icing on the cake. I have the animated version of this and the motion picture hit the nail on the head. Very good ending to the entire saga.

I was overall disappointed with the Hobbit trilogy, but this one kind of makes up for it. It's by far the best of the Hobbit trilogy. Hoping there will be an extended version released later on

I now wish I had gone to the movies to see this film. The scenes were spectacular. I didn't leave the room until it was over. I know this is the last of the trilogy, but I wish it could go on.

The Hobbit is of course a masterpiece as a book, and has been turned into an amazing epic trilogy. The final chapter of the series is however, very reminiscent of the 3rd Lord of The Rings movie in that it felt like the ending was 30 minutes longer than it should have been. Definitely worth watching though!

I appreciate the quality difference the Bluray makes when viewing battle scenes. You can practically see the sweat and blood. The ultraviolet copy is nice for watching on the go.

i had planned on waiting to purchase this movie but i could not pass up this steelbook. great design. i thought it would have a glossy finish but is more of a matte finish. happy nonetheless.

As Jackson's final movie in the Hobbit trilogy, there wasn't much plot to go through but the action scenes were very well done. Still a great movie to watch and a little tear at the end.

Love The Hobbit. Great movie. Does justice to the book. And the actor that plays Bilbo is fantastic.

We could hardly wait to get this movie.We loved the first 2 so we were looking forward to this one. We were not disappointed at all. Good story line that continues till the end.

love blue ray for watching this epic saga. Good to view with subtitles since much of the movie has names people and towns that can get confusing. Picture and sound is excellent.
