    While nowhere near as impressive as the Lord of the Rings trilogy, this is entertaining and sticks to the general themes of the book.

    I bought this collection feeling nostalgic for these movies I saw in the theater. I should have saved my money. They are filmed at 60 frames a second and motion can be jarring. these movies are footnotes to the Lord of the Rings classics.

    Great Story, music and acting. However, never should have been three long movies!!!! This could have easily been One movie. I am enjoying buy its really a shame that they extended the story way to long. I think it would be One 3 hour movie.

    Best movies ever!!!! Love the Hobbit and Lord of the rings. Six discs, and the video quality is amazing with blue ray. Can’t go wrong for the price!!!!
