The Host is an excellent Sci Fi movie of a family fighting to keep together from Alien's taken position of their bodies, great movie in Blu-ray/DVD from 2013

From what I remember the movie follows the book pretty close. Of course there are always some differences. If you enjoyed the book, I think you will enjoy the movie as well.

Really enjoyed this movie, good actors and I liked premise.

I don't buy a movie unless I know I will be able to watch it multiple times. The characters' emotional development provides the intensity in this sci-fy movie. Not surprising since that is the writing style of Stephanie Meyers. I did wait until the price came down on this movie before purchasing it, but it is still worth it!

While the major elements of the story were all there, the movie left out some of the details from the book that made it interesting to me. They focused more on the romance, but whole that was interesting, the book added so much more to the story. Still an ok movie though!

For those who loved the book, this movie is a fairly close adaptation. As with any movie based on the book there are some moments left out that would have been nice, but overall the movie is well done and interesting to watch,

I loved the host book and although the movie wasn't as good as the book, at least it wasn't as bad as the twilight books to movie adaptations. Overall it was still quite enjoyable. Not amazingly great, but still good.

I might have to say movie wise this beats twilight. Some parts feel a little contrived but overall a good plot with semi like able characters. Worth the watch and even a rewatch here and there.

Don't be fooled by the Stephenie Meyer book-turned-movie. It's a great adventure through the eyes of the other - those that aren't like us and those that we not only fear but are feared by us. If you're looking for a romance with a twist, this is definitely worth a watch. Living of two minds can sometimes be hard, especially when one of those minds is an intruder.

It is not a movie that will upset you and keep you from sleeping, so it is good for an evening's entertainment. It has a nice flow, not complicated, so can just be enjoyed.

An interesting premise for a science fiction film led astray by teen romance in an attempt to appeal to the young adult audience of the Twilight series.

If you read the book you'll love the movie. It follows the book plot and the characters are believable. Looking forward to the next one

I loved twilight but I didn't want to watch another twilight like movie so I was pleasantly surprised when it was nothing like I expected and it was better than I could of expected.I lobe the originality the story and the main actors.They all work perfectly together.

The premise of the story, though a bit far-fetched, somehow came over as believeable. Great surprise happy ending.

A movie for your teenagers if you they want to stay in. Not to much violence, like-able characters.

MY children loved this movie that they had previously watched in the movie theater. We bought it for them as a gift and have watched it a couple of more times since then. It is a very good movie for a wide range of ages.

I recommend reading the book 1st. Once you read the book you would love the movie. If you see the movie first then you would not like it as much or appreciate it for what it's worth.

The movie was ok. It wasn't the best but i would wait till it hits the bargain bin.
